Toss-up. UGA has slightly more nearby competition for talent when you take Clemson and the Alabama schools into account, but it's also not as high-pressure when you take the fact that Richt would have been fired years ago if he coached for LSU. But playing in the East is currently good for UGA. Don't have to deal with the headaches of going through the SEC-W gantlet.

Note: I will punch the first person who argues "gauntlet" vs "gantlet" with me.

The East was better than the West for like the first 15 years of division alignment

Bc LSU, Bama, Auburn and Arkansas we all in the worst decades of program history. The 90s were terrible for all programs. It will never swing that way again without probation on multiple teams.

Name the division with 4 collective teams as bad as SC, UK, Mizzou and Vandy. I can't. And it doesnt look like it will change for at least the next 2-3 years. They will all be worse next season from the looks of it.

Dude, things change. SC and Mizzou will be back soo enough. You're acting like this is a yearly thing in the East.

But to answer your question I would consider the ACC Atlantic division worse most years among others.
