Most of Bama's MNCs were purely objective and even the recent ones largely involved tons of luck.
See Auburn 2010 and their runner up 2013 season for great examples.

Bama football. Kentucky benefits from playing in a weak basketball conference.

Bama football. They've done it against much better competition historically. Kentucky basketball is the equivalent of USC football. It's easy to dominate when you only to have worry about one or two teams in conference every year. Kentucky wouldn't have had the success they've had in the ACC. Just check out their head to head record against North Carolina. Dean Smith beat them like a red-headed stepchild every time UNC played them.

Kentucky basketball and it isn't close.
In addition to the fact that UK's numbers are what they are, the fact that in cbb to win a title you have to win a single elim tournament gives that more weight than in cfb where to win a title (before last year, obviously) you just had to win 1 game. And before 1998 the system was so lax for who actually was the champion. You could have polls from some small town sunday newspaper awarding championships and people would count it. Not so with CBB.

Obviously most Bama fan answers and most Kentucky fan answers will be bias. I'm saying Alabama, but ultimately it doesn't matter what me or the other Bama fans think on this subject, same for the UK fans.
Only thing I can argue is UCLA has more national titles than Kentucky (right?) and whether anyone likes it or not the general consensus accepts that no matter how you count, Alabama has more national titles than anyone in the FBS.
But, as I said before, my opinion on the matter is irrelevant.

Okay, but in CBB you can lose 10 games in the regular season and still potentially win it all.

This is the answer.
