You start a lot of threads about auburn.

What else would a Bama fan talk about?

We are only missing one of the blind mice. Make noise, he will follow.

You're right, it was a down year offensively for Malzahn standards.
#16 in total offense (#2 in the SEC)
#2 in 3rd down conversion percent (#1 in the SEC)
#13 rush offense (#1 in the SEC)
#25 in scoring offense (#4 in the SEC)
#8 in passing efficiency (#1 in the SEC)
#21 in first downs (#3 in the SEC)
#16 in pass yards per completion (#1 in the SEC)
#27 in turnover margin (#3 in the SEC)

The obvious answer is Malzahn.

Both are great, just different styles

Whoever didn't lose 59-0 to Alabama

I'd take McElwain over either of them. And as long as both Gus and Kevin keep running that sandlot offense, once every year or two, someone is going to push their shite in to the tune of 59-0.

Gus wins titles with Heisman winners. Sumlin goes 19-6.

I'm sure the rantards will be all over Gus, but the numbers say Sumlin.

I ask him to stop last night but he obviously did not listen.

Petrino by a mile
Has Petrino ever won a championship even as an assistant?
This is a stupid thread, Gus and his HS offense have changed the game.

If Sumlin actually develops some ability to run the ball consistently, I'd put him up there.
But not until.
It's Gussy"s power game that is so scary IMO. Sure, they have some spread concepts in there and misdirection, but in his heart, Gus wants to his teams to pound the rock
Given the potential of their new QB, the talent at WR, and their pretty consultant ability to run well, I think this Auburn team is pretty damned scary.
It wouldn't be a surprise for TAMU to end up the same as well. I just think Sumlin has a bit more to prove at this point.

I'll go with the guy who has accomplished something notable in his career without having to rely almost solely on having a heisman winning QB.

but you'd go with the coach that lost to the team that lost to Alabama?
I'll wait to see what Sumlin can do with a good defensive coordinator behind him and more of a rushing attack, and what Gus can do with a pocket passer who isn't the fastest guy on the team; right now I'd say it's a push.
