UF's first team defense doesn't really suck. They just have no depth.

When does the "against Blake Sims" line play itself out? Seriously, What does the kid have to do to be taken seriously?

Beat every team on the schedule. Not kidding.

Hell it wasn't until this Florida game that a lot of Bama fans started believing in him, why try to make opposing fan bases believe the same. It will take time. I think Sims looks good and is making Coker wish he picked another school to attend...

but I would say that UF has the better pass and rushing D.

HELL no. How in the hell can you even say that?

shite, I believed in him after the WVU game. My point is that -- on tRant, at least -- it's a known fact that people will twist the very fabric of reality itself to avoid giving credit to any aspect of a team they dislike.

Alabama is a very disliked program on tRant.

I thought after the games yesterday that State would statistically be much better than them.

We would have been if we hadn't taken our starters out in the last half of the 4th quarter against LSU. Most of their passing yards came from the last couple possessions against our 2nd string.

The stats are very deceptive because a lot of the yards our D has given up was because the 2nd string was in. Our starting Defense only allowed 9 points against LSU.

Yeah, I know what your point is and it's a valid one, but you were in the minority in believing in Sims especially early on. I think he gained more support each week, but I believe the Florida game solidified his standing as Bama's 2014 QB among all fans.

This is the SECRant and you don't come here looking for support of your team...

eta: all the teams are disliked on here depending on the day. Did you miss Thursday and Friday for AU???

Well, I damn sure don't... but that doesn't mean I can't warn those who do.

Because statistically they do have the better pass defense. But that's it. They are close in total defense though.

And this early in the year these stats still don't tell us much.

I looked it up and state does have a top 10 rushing d, that along with the top red zone defense makes them light years better than Florida.

So would you say Ole Miss has the best defense in the league right now?

I have no ideas statistically where they are rated
Since we have no common opponents to date, why would stats matter?

Doesn't. So you can compare stats and use the eye test. Did you read the thread?
