The two defenses are statistically a push.. and LSU played against FAR better competition. LSU is averaging 10 TFL per game right now too. It's really hard to compare two different styles of defense, but after seeing LSU do it against legit competition, I'd take LSUs defense. We'll find out a lot more about Bamas D after Arky.. we should be able to honestly compare the two then.
I'd give my left nut for Upshaw though.

Lester, Barron and are all both preseason first team all SEC. Kirkpatrick is one of the best corners in the country and Menzie is more than adequate. Everyone thinks they are better but LSU fans.

They thought your OL was the best in the conference, too.
How'd that turn out?

I'd put Reid and Taylor right up with them and Reid will end up being better than all of them. I'll also bet you a few rolls of nickels that Mo Claiborne will be a higher draft pick then Dre.

Oregon & MSU have better Defenses than PSU?

75 points in 2 games. I guess they are doing ok?

Dee Milliner was the best corner in the country coming out of high school and he can't even start in Bama's secondary. Face it, Alabama is loaded on defense everywhere but the DL.

Maybe. But since when does the Tide defense line up against the other team's defense?

A high school defense could do nearly as well against those cupcakes.

This.
if we are going off of the total body of work thus far this season, there's no way it cant be LSU to date, simply because LSU has had more and better opportunities to shut down more legit offenses.

Saban > Chavis
As evidenced by last years game.
So ULM's DC in 2007 > Saban ? Surely you don't really believe defensive prowess is accurately assessed on one game.

Nobody said y'all weren't but it's the Bama fans that are acting like it's impossible for any other defense to be better than theirs. The LSU D is better if you actually look at what offenses each have faced to this point. Y'all get your shot to puff your chest out next week.

You must forget the OT 1st down throw that set Bama at the 1 to Julio over PP7.
Then 2009, Julio was working PP7 so hard that he had to take breaks all through the game. Went out for his little sippy cup of refreshments...Julio to the house.
JJ owned PP
