Good job on the stats. However...I offer that Auburn's schedule has been much softer than has UGA's, as well as UGA being without the majority of it's starters on offense for most of the season. This game will be the healthiest UGA has been since we beat LSU.

Those stats even out ridiculously...I suspect it will be the usual VERY hard fought game minus the last 2 years

Georgia's defensive weakness is defending the pass. It doesn't appear that Auburn has the firepower to exploit that. Auburn's defense seems to struggle against the run and pass.

This is what gives me hope.

Gurley one on one with Holland gives me a stiffy.

Clearly Auburn has the better D and team all the way around, I hope we can match up for a half then I fully expect them to be chanting "we want Bama!!"

We may have to call on Moses to part their linebackers and get a few yards rushing in come Saturday.

Georgia has faced two common opponents in LSU and UT. Georgia defended the run against both very well. Auburn defended the run well against the Vols, against LSU...not so much. Tennessee started a different qb against Auburn and he didn't throw very well to the outsides virtually making it impossible for Tennessee to get Auburn off balance. Georgia's ability to consistently pass and run and get Auburn off balance will put them in the position to win. Georgia's ability to stop the run by playing good gap assignments and force Auburn to pass will be the difference. Got get Auburn into 3rd and longs and get pressure

I would say, right now, your defense is MUCH better. Ours has improved, but we still have a LONG, LONG way to go.

comparing stats only count if the stats are against the same teams.

I must admit, I was surprised at how close they were.

Looks like another close hard fought game. I hope so, anyway.

Ppl are overlooking UGAs poor pass defense and the excuse is that AU cannot pass.

AU can pass, they just have not needed to in certain games bec our opponents could not stop our rushing.

Against A&M's awful D we passed for over 200 yards. We also passed for over 200 against LSU and over 300 against MSU.

UGA has one of the worst passing defenses in the SEC. It is nothing that Dawg fans can argue. TGs schemes are too confusing for thier players to understand and our OL has given NM plenty of time all year when he wanted to pass. Our WR should have no issue getting open and if NM and the Wr can get on the same page for a marginal effort(200-225 yards), it will open our run game even more so.

You'll give up 30 in this game. And the IB.

To the OP, I'd guess UGA's defense is better and matches up better against the run than the pass, which matches up well with Auburn.

Should be a good game.

Over 200 yards of passing isn't a benchmark. Arkansas passed for over 200 against A&M.

Our DL has accounted for over 200 sacks this year. They all rent in the same apartment complex in the opponents offensive backfield.

I love that the SECr believes Auburn can't throw the ball around. I think you are all sorely mistaken with that, we are not 1 dimensional--why throw when you can destroy a 8/9 in the box defense? Coates, Bray, & Prosch get a few passes and then we'll start running again. I think we had 4 different sub 1-minute drives against TN.

So again why throw when you have 4 of the best runners in the league.

UGA can stop the run better, and Auburn has a better secondary. Overall, about even.
