No, Fulmer was comparable in every other category. Your argument is apples to oranges.

National titles are mythical. Richt has won more BCS bowl games and owned him head-to-head.

Not arguing the merits of Fulmer vs Richt, just pointing out that he's no Chizik or Coker either.

Richt because Fulmer is obese. Like Bert without the hot wife.

For the most part, the SEC was a two-team league in the 90's. Fulmer usually got clowned by Spurrier.

Fulmer won a national championship, so I'm going to go with Richt.

Fulmer has a natty. Ergo he is better.

Richt has been for years underachieving with the talent he has and doing just enough to appease people happy we are just average. He should have been fired years ago and sadly hasn't. And until he is fired, retires, or dies we sadly will always be average and underachieving.

Richt, and it's not close.

If Richt had Manning as his QB, he wins the National Championship at least 1 or 2 out of the 4 years of Peyton being the QB. Fulmer did it with Tee Martin, but that was the perfect storm.

you act like Richt has had a problem at the QB position. Richt is one of the biggest underachievers in SEC history given the talent he's had and the natural recruiting base he has to work with.

Richt has had some absolute studs come through UGA at QB. Maybe not to the level of PM, but I don't think that's an accurate statement to say that if he had Peyton he has a crystal ball sitting in his office.

Matter of fact, I don't think that's accurate at all.

It's not like Richt has been quarterback poor. He's consistently had some of the best QBs in the SEC during his tenure.

Except for the fact that Peyton went 0-4 against Florida.

Fulmer. However, Richt is close enough to where he may one day catch Phil or even surpass him. They also remind me a lot of each other personality wise.

Fulmer. He won a Natty and is in the College HOF.

Richt will probably surpass him (its close now), but as for this moment, Fat Phil still wins.

besides he had to play Bama as well as Georgia and Florida every year as well as Auburn.
