Jenkins was playing the wrong position. Dude was a fantastic athlete.

I agree and I almost included the caveat that both Pinkens and Jenkins were incredible athletes. Dondriel had won the punt, pass and kick competition in Georgia the first year the Florida-Georgia all-star game was played in the dome.

But the real problem with Dondriel was, 1) Skip Holtz was his QB coach and 2) Dondriel was not the sharpest pencil in the box. Really good kid, just not a QB mind. When he graduated he came out to the house and I gave him a puppy. He was just a sweet kid, as good hearted as they come and very competitive, big heart. But he made some really crazy decisions on the field at times.

Corey Jenkins ended up playing safety and linebacker in the NFL. He is now on our coaching staff, one of the position guys in the weight room.

We didn't win a national championship with any of those qbs you listed besides Flynn and Mauck so you can use the same argument for the rest of them that you did for mett... And Davey and Russell didn't have NFL players around him ?????? at least they had an o line Mett's o line ruined his knee and his NFL career

Don't think you can include Kodi. He won games including a bowl game.

Nah, most of those other guys won big games or played well in big games. Mett, not so much. I think he's the most over rated QB at LSU in my lifetime. He had some talent, and put up some good stats in 2013, but the results from that year are magnified by the shitty QB play a'fore and after him. Deal with it.

He had the worst defense in 2013 that we've had since Saban got here those losses weren't on him except Ole Miss 2013 deal with it

Yep, the defense was terrible, no argument there. But look at his stats in games that mattered, he wasn't great by any definition. Played well in a few games, but never won any that mattered. Sorry Zach.

Henig has my vote. I had classes with him and the defensive players would pelt him with spitballs during class. He would always get pissed off and whine about it in front of everyone. Anthony Dixon actually had to intervene in the middle of class because Henig almost got his arse whipped for bitching at the defense over the spitballs. Those defensive players backed down in a hurry when Dixon stepped up. No one respected Henig.

Not even remotely close. If we had him in Freeze's system that we have now, he would have been lights out.

This is how I feel about Omar Connor. Him and Jerious Norwood were wasted talents under Croom.

Omar Connor/Jerious Norwood backfield in a Mullen offense would have been amazing to see.
