Funny question, and you'll get different answers. That notion was laughable before the game, but a different story emerged afterwards.

You say that but in 2013 UF was the only visiting SEC school to fill their allotment at Fourot field and to my knowledge in our 3 years in the SEC the only ones besides Bama and UGA.

UF does well when it is a new place. I go to at least 3 road games per year, and compared to what other schools bring to the Swamp, I honestly don't see much difference between the big schools for conference games.

I was at the Liberty Bowl and if I wasn't a moron or if I was married to a bitchy wife I'd have sat that one out in the hotel (which I suspect many from both schools did). That's the coldest I've ever been, including deer hunting and February field exercises in Colorado.

Chick Fil A against Duke was 4K short of a sellout. My guess is a bigger opponent would have filled the place up.

Regular season games are harder to quantify because of the (un)availability of tickets, but I saw plenty of Aggies at SC last year.

I thought it was pretty even during the 2011 national championship. If anything it was 55-45 in one direction or the other. The circumstances for that game were much different than the two previous national championships in the superdome that LSU played in. LSU well outnumbered Oklahoma and Ohio St although Ohio St. brought a much more respectable crowd than anticipated.

If Auburn is having a good year and we know we are having a good year we will show up in numbers. If we aren't having a good year then who knows what you'll get

Even put in endzone bleachers for Bama fans, how considerate

From LSU vs Washington in Seattle in '09.

quote:

There is almost universal praise for the spirit and behavior of the estimated 20,000 LSU fans who made the 2,033-mile trek to Seattle, and the watery antics of Tigers supporters Saturday were well within bounds.

We also took over their sailgating scene. On the boat we were on there was like 2 UW fans and 98 LSU fans.

We were obviously closer than Wisconsin this past year in Houston but it was probably 3/4 LSU fans in a sold out stadium

SEC teams playing outside the SEC, UGA

Curious as to why you'd single out UGA.

When LSU traveled to Seattle, Houston, and Dallas....all three cities were a sea of (LSU) purple and gold. The bar ownerss in Seattle all said they had seen nothing like it before. LSU fans drank them dry in a couple of hours.

Don't want to quibble here, but any of the SEC's "big six" fan-bases travel well IMHO. Really don't see how it's possible to say one is better than the other.

Depends on the game, depends on the season.

I'd say LSU consistently brings the most people to Oxford. Mizzou surprised me and brought a lot of fans, but most of them came because they wanted to see the grove and idk how well they travel to other places.

They'll love the free food and alcohol they get from us. Seriously the trick with LSU fans is to...

* play along with "Tiger Bait!"

* Smile, laugh, shake hands

* Enjoy free food and drink

How do you know most came to see the Grove?

They hear about your magic trees?

I don't, but a couple of Mizzou fans at our tent said that to me after I told him I was surprised how many people they brought.

I agree with this as well.

Oklahoma and Notre Dame brought a shite load of people to NOLA when they played LSU.

Notre Dame overtook Miami in 2013. It was amazing to see. I'm honestly surprised that the stadium was 50/50.

OU surprisingly didn't bring a lot of fans to the Sugar Bowl. There were tons of empty seats on their side. I was really shocked.

I'm not the sort to give attaboys to Ole Miss but they beat Bama and didn't lose a single tree.

Those are tough trees.

I honestly don't know where this "Mizzou fans don't travel" nonsense is coming from, but for a fan base our size we travel fine.

As far as the "best"....Georgia has brought the most fans to Faurot.

Whoever is winning. I'll take in one road game for a bad team, but that's it. Most are similar.

Filling out the super dome it was pretty much split down the middle. When it comes to walking around town and walking into bars easily LSU I mean we're talking about New Orleans. I think where the deception comes in is after the loss Bourbon Street was painted red.
