Indeed, Tebow did, but he is a project for NFL teams, now. He had to reconstruct his throwing motion, to have a higher and quicker delivery. Different positions, but Bo and Herschel were natural at their position. No comparison at all.

Exactly, he set rushing records from the QB position. And its not about what they are in the NFL, its about what they did in the SEC. 2 NCs, 1 Heisman, what 3-4 BCS Bowl wins?

Florida just has way more talent than anyone in the SEC East, thats why ya'll keep getting your asses kicked.

I'll never understand why 'Bama fans think because they beat him once they think they're miles ahead of the Gators despite their 1-2 record vs the UF Tebows.

Because CU the team I hate and will ruthlessly tear down any accomplishment I hear from them. Outside of that I really have no serious ill-will towards any other team or school (every once in a while maybe UNC) So I have no problem defending Tebow's obvious accomplishments.

Lol, ok so you hate your rival Clemson, but what does that have to do with the Gators? Because you got the ole ball coach. Trust, gator fans love pounding on you gamecocks because of the ole ball coach.

They're 1-1 against a Tebow led Florida team. And BTW, why do people always credit Tebow for '06 Florida winning the national championship? For better or for worse, that was Chris Leak's team. The only thing Tebow did that year was run the ball in short yardage situations.

Because the first time we faced him, Leak was still the starter, in 2006, Tebow was a frosh, and Leak beat Bama that year, not Tebow. Tebow did beat us the next year in the SECCG.

But let me ask, when was the last time the Gamecocks beat him?

No it means I'm not blinded by anti-Tebow sentiments.

So why do 'Bama fans feel like Tebow is powerless against them? And I don't give him credit for it, but he has 2 NC rings and more than filled his role on that '06 team.

Wins and loses shouldn't always define players. Dan Marino never won shite and he was one of the greatest QB's ever. What did Dexter McCluster win in college? Or Bo Jackson? What about Adrian Peterson? I think its helpful in some cases to propel certain athletes into greatness but sometimes unfair to others who have already earned it.

Yeah but Tebow led that team to many many wins, won himself a Heisman, and was able to win a Leakless title for UF. Tebow had great stats, leadership skills, and wasn't one of those cases, like a Dan Marino, where he could never win the big one.

Nope, you were the one who asked why Tebow was even considered in the conversation over Bo or Walker and I gave you the reasons why. Simple really.

Just dont ask Tebow to beat Auburn, kidding. Tebow is no doubt a top 5 SEC player of all time I just think he had incredible players around him on both sides of the ball.

Tebow was a great player. I just get tired of people calling him the greatest college football player ever and overstating all of his accomplishments. And If you're judging players based on their w/l record and individual achievements, how is Tim Tebow a better player than Danny Wuerrfel? He won four SEC championships, has a better won/loss record and his individual accomplishments were just as impressive as Tebow's.

So would you consider Wuerrfel one of the greatest SEC players of all time?

Aight, well do you like Tebow? Let's stop dancing around the subject, then. Let's just agree that we don't like. If you are a true SC fan then you don't like and quit arguing with me.

I could care less about Tebow. This thread wasn't about liking a player it was about who was the best. And Tebow was one of the best ever, there is no arguing that.

Yes but there's no way in hell I would rank him above Herschel or Bo.

You don't think Tebow is one of the best players to have played in the SEC?
