Complete bullshite. There is NO comparison between any of those backs. You cannot reasonably argue that Cadillac Williams is a better back than McFadden, and you cannot reasonably argue that Ronnie Brown is better than Jones. Jones only played three years and gained nearly 300 more yards than did Brown. Jones averaged nearly 8 ypc for his career (unheard of and lead the nation in 2007 with nearly 9). The other Arkansas stud is a two time Doak Walker award winner and Heisman runnerup.

Just nonsense.

No, that's not complete bullshite. You cannot reasonably argue that two RB's from the same team, drafted #2 and #5 overall in the same draft, are the best duo.

Yes you can. Their draft status had absolutely no bearing on their performance in college. While they were both very good backs, their numbers don't even begin to stack up to the numbers put up by McFadden and Jones.

if only there were like, stats and stuff to help prove arguments.

Stafford went higher in the NFL draft than tebow...I guess by your logic stafford was the better college QB eh?

Felix Jones accomplished more in three years than Ronnie Brown did in 5.

Darren McFaddens totals blow Caddy's out of the water as well.

Your argument is nonsense.

brown had more yards from scrimmage and seven more tds

and lol at saying 5 years

not really. caddy had more tds from scrimmage on 45 less touches. if you think 0.6 ypc more is "blow out of the water" territory, then you need help

So you don't count the 7 TDs McFadden threw for? I would.

I guess to suit the argument you would clarify yards from scrimmage to account for Brown's receiving yards, but neglect to look at Jones's nearly 2,000 yards he totalled as a kick returner. He was an all american kick returner.

So yeah, it's still a bullshite argument.

But hey.

Well then you need to start a thread about kick returners. That has shite to do with the RB position.

ETA Thread idea........."best RB/kick returner in the SEC since the turn of the century"

There's that Auburn education shining through. I WAS considering only rushing yards...until someone above mentioned total yards from scrimmage. Ronnie Brown gets the edge there because he had quite a few receiving yards. But if we aren't talking rushing yards only, per thread premise, may as well factor Jones's kick return yards as well.

Felix Jones was a better running back and a better all around football player. Don't know why you guys care that Arkansas has ONE thing going for it, but whatever. Hate on hata

receiving out of the backfield is part of being a running back

does arkansas beat vandy in 2006 without felix jones reception td? do you beat alabama without dmac catching that 2 pt conversion?

kick returner isn't part of being a running back

you know other positions can return kicks too?

and a typical response because you didn't like the results
