I hear the Waste Management guys are the best to sit with at a sanitation workers convention.

I can't wait to beat seven shades of shite of opposing fans who dare visit the Neyland Cathedral this szn.

I would rather watch a game in Neyland than anywhere else in the world. I am sure most people feel the same way about his respective stadium.

Depends on the game and the seats. But, watching from home isn't a bad deal either.

No lines to bathroom, a pretty lady brings me beer, food options are varied and tailored to my tastes, infinite ability to control the viewing experience (rewind, pause, slow motion, zoom and pan, and fast forward), lack of other a-holes around me not sharing/showing the appropriate emotions at the right times.

Can you (or anyone else) give me a rundown on the must eat places close to campus? We got an AirBnB close to downtown for a decent price. Three couples are making the trip and we would like to find some nice restaurants. Also, where would be the best bar close to the stadium to catch the other games on tv that Saturday?

Neyland really is a dumpy place. Was pretty surprised the one time I went

Nope. We weren’t scared of two shitty toothless drunk assholes that kept disrespecting us old folks.
In all fairness, I think it was a nice lady Vol fan that texted security.
The assholes were escorted out, high fives exchanged and we went back to watching the better team win.

The only bad experience I’ve ever had was at Kneeland. Drunk Tenner punks barking at an elderly UGA couple in front of us walking to the car. When we intervened, punks ran away like pussies. Wouldn’t have been much of a fight but we wanted an opportunity.

dayum i was kinda planning on going to Neyland this year. The knee thing really seems to be an issue. I'll watch from home and not make the trip. I think i'll take those dollars and eat steak every day of game week. Will be much more enjoyable.

It's a great college football atmosphere. Enjoy!

I agree 100%. Great fans in Tennessee when I went 8-9 seasons ago. They still pack it today.

Cool. Beans. Or Roosters. Both are close enough to watch up until 30 minutes from kickoff, walk to stadium, and still make it for the start of the game.

Far as nice ‘straunts are concerned, Naples, Chesapeake’s, Emilia, Lonesome Dove, and then the usual popular recommendations like Stock and Barrell, Copper Cellar, and Littons, all of which are either right in Market Square or just a few minutes walk away.

Breakfast I would recommend French Market
on Clinch, or Pete’s if you’re just looking to grub that Saturday morning. Both are right downtown.

Kingston Pike and Turkey Creek have a ton to choose from as well, but are 20-30 minute drives from downtown.

I’m missing a lot but those are decent places to start imo.

Yassin’s falafel is a must if you’re into that, could eat there every week for the rest of my life.

Wouldn’t recommend Calhoun’s, food is very forgettable and it’s somehow become the most popular resteraunt in Knoxville.
