Yeah I edited my last both to say that wasn't a shot at LSU just a statement on o lines.

I didn't take it as a shot, it was a solid point. It's just hard to talk Oline depth because almost no one keeps up with anyone other than their own team, myself included.

Sorry, LSU couldn't run the ball vs. Bama and Tennessee could.

LSU

Top 9 OL:
Ethan Pocic (SR) - probably LT
Will Clapp (RSO) - C or LG
Maea Tuehema (SO) - RG
Toby Weathersby (SO) - RT
Garrett Brumfield (RSO) - LG
Josh Boutte (SR) - G
KJ Malone (JR) - G/T
Chidi Okeke - (RFR) - T
Andy Dodd (JR) - C

Very talented, but young OL. Tuehema was very impressive as a freshman. Pocic should thrive in his natural position. Clapp was very solid last year and is in his third year. The unknowns are Weathersby, Brumfield, and Okeke. Weathersby looked good last year in limited duty. Don't know what to expect from the other two. Boutte and Malone are nice veteran utility guys. There is also the possibility Andy Dodd moves into center spot, and Clapp bumps back out to LG. All depends on Brumfield.

So could be boom or bust. Depends on who steps up at the center spot.

RT Chance Hall 6'4 318 SO started last half of the year
RG Dylan Wiesman 6'4 304 SR
C Coleman Thomas 6'5 301 JR
LG Jashon Robertson 6'4 315 JR started every game he has played in
LT Drew Richmond 6'5 301 RFR

Others who have started:

Brett Kendrick 6'6 318 SR
Jack Jones 6'4 307 SO
Venzell Boulware 6'3 306 SO

A&M will certainly be better coached in 2016 than they have been any time since Mike Sherman was fired since Jim Turner (Sherman's OL coach) is back. If we can be a top 7 OL, things will be decent this year.

Projected Starters:

Tackles - Avery Gennesy (RS-SR), Koda Martin (RS-SO)
Guards - Keaton Sutherland (SO), Connor Lanfear (SO)
Center - Erik McCoy (RS-FR)

2nd team:

Tackles - Tank Davis (RS-SO), Trevor Elbert (RS-FR)
Guards - Jermaine Eluemunor (RS-SR), Colton Prater (FR-EE)
Center - J.J. Gustafson (JR)

McCoy may not be as well versed in the playcalling as Mike Matthews was, but he is much bigger (6'4 315 as opposed to 6'2 285)

We have some elite offensive linemen, but with the predictable offensive scheme Les Miles runs it often places our OLine in unwinnable game situations.

I agree with this.

Auburn should have a dominant interior OL and a completely joke situation at OT. We replace both OTs, don't have clear solution at either.

RT shouldn't be a huge deal, we have some strong guys who can be a bull at RT. We just don't have the athleticism at LT and will be demolished

Tampa, like your list, but Little will start somewhere. Rawlings will most likely be at Center from everything I hear.

I'm not sure. Losing Kelly is going to hurt. But there's still a lot of talent, so it's very possible. We'll need a bug year from Cam
we only replace 2 linemen. we have some extremely good players waiting to take over for kelly, and jackson was a bit of a disappointment, was a penalty, sack, and hold factory all year. All of our options at RT are going to be an improvement. I think overall we will be better

Oh I agree with you just wanted to put out a list of proven SEC line men that would be a solid line. Little, Givens, Liggins and Boulden will contribute to big time. Also one or two other freshmen will play some be it Mathews, DeFoor, Tuitt and Johnson.

Well...Craig was brought in to also implementation some spread schemes. Harris has some wheels so I would say if Miles let's Craig actually TRY, the sky is the limit. If Miles keeps on with his run run pass punt...not so much

Personally think this is a audition (Craig) for OC in waiting.
IMO, Miles has no choice but to allow Camron/Craig run that offense. Surely to goodness he felt enough heat at the end of the season to know he needs to step away from the play calling and let his coaches do their job?

Our OL got a big upgrade in coaching and recruiting when Jim Turner was hired to come back.

When Turner left in 2012 he left behind this line he recruited and built:

LT - Luke Joeckel - 1st rounder
LG - Cedric Ogbuehi - 1st rounder
C - Patrick Lewis - ufda starting for Seahawks
RG - Jarvis Harrison - 4th rounder on Jets roster
RT - Jake Matthews - 1st rounder

Honestly think they are still a year away from the transition to more spread schemes. They will occasionally run some shotgun with 3 or 4 wide like Cam has done recently but for the most part they will be in the power I. Especially considering they have a 300lb, 6th year senior at TE and one of the best fullbacks in CFB returning.

But I could be wrong.

Lsu has the deepest offensive line there I have seen in a long time. Guys like Brumfield who will be a RS sophomore that was the number one guard coming out might still not crack the top 5 because of the depth.
Question mark is experience at tackle since we lose both, but weathersby filled in nice there toward end of season. Everyone is assuming Pocic slides out to left tackle but him being out the spring hinders his reps.

Bama will always , at least, be in the top 3 if not rated the best. Good lord. Best coach, best recruiting, best training. year after year after year. It's the same thing.
