BYU was down to SMU 45-25 with 4 minutes left and won
Everyone forgets about this one but this is the correct answer. Complete with hail mary ending on the last play of the game. All of these other answers are competing for second place.

I've never watched highlights from that game, but I think we could have scored again right before halftime but JaMarcus had a brain fart and took a sack or something that ran the clock down.
Halftime he tried to run it in with no timeouts left. Got stopped at the 5.
Rick Clausen threw a pick with the game tied and like 20 seconds left in the game around midfield. Russell proceeded to take a sack and throw a pick of his own.

1974 USC vs. Notre Dame.
USC was down 24 points and scored 35 in the 3rd quarter, with Anthony Davis scoring right before half and then returning the second half kickoff for a TD. USC won 55-24.
Parseghian announced his retirement a couple of weeks later.
