Another nod for Capstone. It may be 20 minutes out of the way but you'll save that time when there's nobody on the course and you have it to yourself...plus it's in much better condition with the new ownership.

Hidden Meadows is so bad that I`ve never even heard of it. Serious suggestion to the OP, I would just drive an extra hour to B`ham and play one of the RTJ courses. Both RTJ sites are beautiful layouts with great views that are usually in very good shape. Another very solid enjoyable course that is very convenient to Tuscaloosa is Bent Brook in Bessemer. Fun, quality 27 hole complex just a few miles east of the I-59/I-459 junction located just off I-459 heading towards Hoover. It`s no more than 45 minutes from Tuscaloosa. Course has bent grass greens and a nice flat layout unlike most courses in the B`ham area. Trust me, don`t waste your time with Hidden Meadows

They're trying to mislead you (OP) because they don't want to see any LSU fans during their play at Hidden Meadows.

According to the USGA, Hidden Meadows was ranked the number 1 golf course in the state of Alabama.

Check it out... you'll LOVE it!

Hidden Meadows, Hidden Fairways, Hidden Golf Ball.

If you're willing to drive all the way up there, might as well just go to Birmingham and play Oxmoor Valley, Riss Bridge, or Bent Brook.
