1. Kyle Whittingham - Utah
2. Mark Hudspeth - ULL
3. Kevin Wilson - Indiana
4. Tim Beckman - Illinois

If I were LSU, my personal choice would be Kevin Wilson, Indiana. He has done wonders at a pedestrian school.

It's funny you guys think we can't get a big name.

We are stacked with talent, pay out our asses on coach salaries (including assistants), have incredible stadium, great fan support, great facilities, and no in state competition for recruiting in a talent hot bed.

I have to admit it would be fun to take away ULL's coach.

Just to remind them everything they love, we can take.

Yeah guys you didnt know? LSU can get any coach, college or pro . All they gotta do us point and said coach will fall to his knees thanking them for the chance.

Kw is worth considering. But he would be moving to a completely opposite cultural as Utah. He might be too conservative to enjoy Louisiana. You gotta like to party a little.

I'd be happy with Whittingham, although we should definitely aim higher to start.

why would Fuente and Herman be off the list, or were they ever on it?

If not why not?

Yes I thought of that. Whoever comes to BR is going to have to be able to take on the culture that the team and its recruiting base has. Therefore Whittingham may not be the right choice. He is used to players who give a shite completely.

But I think Kevin Wilson - Indiana - shows some of the same characteristics as a young Nick Saban ... and his team has been respectable, beating Mo last year, taking Mich, Ohio State, Iowa to the last downs this year, with very little talent. He seems to understand how to organize and motivate.

The same goes (somewhat) for Beckman at Illinois... people don't realize just how poor the talent is at Illinois.

However, I doubt these guys will get a shot at LSU.

Being a Mormon, he's not a "cultural fit" for the Bayou Bengals....

I hope this is a troll because Kevin Wilson sucks. He is 19-40 at Indiana. His best team is this year's team that sits at 5-6 and has to win at 2-9 Purdue to be bowl eligible which I'll bet doesn't happen. This is the same jackhole who, with Mullen, was considered for the State job in 08, but thought he'd have a better chance to win at Indiana. That comment shows me the guy has a screw loose. Much thanks for "choosing" that powerhouse Indiana Kevin.
