Joel Eaves. 213-100 68% In his last 6 years (1958-1963) our SEC record was 64-20, winning one championship, three 2nd place finishes, and one 3rd.

Interesting that Eddie Sutton, Billy Gillispie, and CM Newton are ranked as (or among) the best at three other SEC programs, and the Kentucky program chewed all 3 of them up. At least Eddie recovered to have a successful post UK career at OK State.

Did Eddie and Billy have bottle issues when they were at Arky and aTm, or did was that the pressure in Lexington?

Gillispie's coaching style and style of play worked at A&M because they had just come off of a situation in which they went 0-16 in conference play (including 2 losses to a Baylor team facing sanctions) and were desperate for anything that would make them winners.

Wrong! C.M. Newton was your best coach.

Maybe he was, but he also only got Alabama to the tournament twice (mainly because the tournament wasn't as large as it is now). Wimp coached Alabama to 6 Sweet 16s, 10 tournament appearances, 4 conference tournament championships, and was usually in the top 4 in the SEC.
