For us after Mett:
Rivers - no game experience but has looked good in scrimmages thie fall. Now listed at 6'-8" (tallest QB in SEC history?)
Bolden - transfer from PSU but didn't do well there. 4* out of HS in MI.
Randall - no game experience and apparently 4th on the depth chart.

IOW, we be hurting if Mett goes out.

What's your schools backup situation look like?

With Mitchell getting WR reps...I think the coaching staff likes where Allen is...

We probably still have the best situation in the league

For UGA:

Behind Aaron Murray is Hutson Mason and Christian Lemay. If everything goes as planned this year, Hutson will redshirt to get class seperation between he and Murray. In any mop up duty to get Aaron off the field Lemay will be brought in.

Hutson Mason has looked pretty good in his mop up duty time. I certainly wouldn't feel good if he was leading us for a season, or in a big game, but he's got live game action and has done well in it. He's 27 for 47 for 356 yards, 3 TDs and 0 int in his career.

Hudson Mason came in after Nick Fairley "Ivan Drago'd" MUrray a few years ago.

Backup?

Either Joeckel or Showers...whoever performs better against Louisiana Tech after we've taken control of the game.

Florida I think.

Chris Todd 2.0

j/k Todd was at least serviceable in 09.

It's funny you say that. That is the first thing that came to my mind as well.

Bolden has to be the best of a not real sporty lot. Bolden took snaps against Bama last year and actually led a scoring drive with a long completion down to the 1 and he scored a 2 pt conversion.

Bama has Ely who will hand off a lot if he is pressed into anything other than mop up duty.

At face value you would think a guy at 2nd string who has had numerous SEC starts (and a couple wins against teams like Auburn and Georgia) would be great for depth.

Then you realize he's the conductor of the Herp Derp express.

In all honesty, we've been worse off. Max Smith could end up being serviceable, Newton is probably better off holding a clipboard and thrown in for some Wildcat, and Towles will end up being pretty good when it's said and done (just not ready this year). There's also some young guys that came in with Towles like Whitlow that has some talent.
