I just hope Chiz doesn't screw up his defense.

Actually him and Chizik have the same philosophy, unlike Roof. And nobody is crowning him as the best DC, but he's up there and he showed that at UGA.

He was great at UGA but the league is totally different than it was 8 years ago.

Whenever he's talking to the players he's got a really loud, incredibly raspy voice. A friend of mine worked for him as a GA and says that he talks normal when he isn't talking to the players.

LSU has Chavis running the D. He's been a beast in this league at two separate stops and he's beasted in the SEC for DECADES.

I'll also say that anyone who doesn't think Moffitt isn't the best in America is an idiot. Not one of.

The.

Saban offered him a three year guaranteed contract when he came back to Bama. We locked him down and he turned away from the dark side.

Saban took the next best thing: Cochran.

Moffitt has transformed S&C and anyone who watched us destroy Oregon last year knows our conditioning was tweaked. A lot was riding on our stamina and we vivisected their asses.

There can be only one S&C answer: Tommy Moffitt.

Kragthorpe's a pretty damn amazing QB coach and recruiter as well. Richt & Spurrier are the best but they are HC's. I'd say Krags has that one.

Coop had DB but he's gone.

Brick Haley is not a Pete Jenkins disciple. Lovie Smit and Rod Marinelli are his mentors. But he's produced badasses on the line.

Klenakis coaches o-line, Cincovich coaches WR.

edit: and Caldwell does special teams now.

I love our assistants as well. They're true professionals and they are a big part of what has helped us go 10-3 and 11-2 the past 2 seasons... It's a wait and see thing as far as our next coach goes, but I think there's a great chance the majority of our staff will be here beyond 2012.
