2011-Needed OK State to lose. Didn't win the SEC West or SEC Championship.
2012- needed Kansas State and Oregon to lose.

Yeah, the topic must be Bama as they went undefeated in 2009 and that's the only year Saban has had an undefeated team anywhere he's been head coach.

Facts.
They proved they were the best team in the nation by stomping a Lake Pontchartrain-sized hole in LSU's arse in their backyard on the biggest stage.
It also proved 1/9 to be the second most devastating day in LSU history.

Bama was clearly the best team in country that year and there were only 2 legit teams that could make that claim with a straight face. Bama put themselves in a position to play in the BCSNCG when Ok State lost to freaking Iowa State.
Proved something on 1/9/12 and then the next 3 meetings with LSU after that.

Put themselves in position to benefit from KSU (seriously?) and Oregon losses. Who else was more deserving? Beat the 2nd best team in the country in the SECCG that year.
