But during Bielema's weekly news conference, Bielema was eager to revisit it. “He was arrogant," Bielema said of Kingsbury, according to The Associated Press. "If that was an arse-kicking, I’d love to see what last year was. I’m happy he got to vent.”

Perhaps Bielema thinks being a jackass to other people who are not affiliated with Arkansas football is something the Arkansas fans like? He can't win any football games so he tries winning the smack talk contest.

I love all the Hawg fans tying to defend the guy.

Let me help here. Its not what he said, or when, or why or anything else you want to try to justify.

It's that he ALWAYS has something to say. He simply can not, at any point, just shut the frick up. Not before he's coached a game. Not in the offseason. Not after 2-14 his first two years. Not after getting embarrassed back to back weeks in year 3.

You can try to deflect to Kingsbury, but I'd imagine other coaches are getting sick of his mouth as well.

The funny thing is, when Kingsbury's comments first came out 99% of the Arky fans here came out and said they wish he would shut up. Now after he proved he can't, well.....

Yes, but that was all part of our secret plan to get your AD to give Bert a giant raise and contract extension after going 6-6 and 2-6 in the SEC, on what was a down year for us anyway. Now you are stuck with him for the next four years or so and we can commence with the raping every year.

that's just it man... He really hasn't went after anyone yet... not since being at Arkansas.

Not really... When in context it is nothing to worry about, concern oneself with, or even give a 2nd thought too. One must be a complete wuus to dwell on such.

We have become such a soft nation...

He is asked a question and he answers it. Watch the press conference and you can see for yourself. Nothing he said today was out of line. Quit reading Twitter for news and do some research. Quit buying into the spin

He was invited to a coaching clinic in Texas this summer, and was asked to speak about his philosophy - which is where the "if you don't use a fullback...throw it 70 times a game" comment originated. Not sure why KK got so up in arms about it and thought it was being directed at him, when he was invited to speak about HIS philosophy.

I read that Klift's dad is a HS football coach in Texas, where most teams run a spread offense. So Kliff and his dad took it personally.

Theyr both acting like boys who want to whip it out and see who's is bigger.

I agree with this in general, cause our society tends to flip out over mere words these days.
However, if every football coach and player spoke their mind, it could get real ugly, very quickly. If the coach partakes in snide comments, the players may get out of hand, usually on Twitter for them. It's a free country, but these coaches would be better off just to take the high road, IMO.

should keep mouth shut but why is this Kliff douche praised for his classless comments but Bielema is getting shite on?

Wonder if Kliffie woulda said that shite if they were on our schedule next year? I think not. Maybe we'll catch them in a bowl.

I'm fine with bert talking shite, if he'll back it up. KK has his coming.

You guys are miles away from mid-tier status, y'all have cleared out the basement and are living in it alone.

No. You actually have to win on the field for your shite talk to have any effect.

He is asked about the Kingsbury stuff in the first few minutes, take the time to listen to his comments and you may change your mind about this latest accusation of "shite talking" or dont, just keep speaking in ignorance

Arky's in a fricked up situation. It's not the fans' fault. Just a nasty situation for the football program that may last for years.

It was very immature of Kingsbury. No one will admit that, because they're glad to see Arkansas or a SEC team lose,

I took Arkansas in the ATS contest for the last two weeks and lost. I expected yall to win this weekend.

What KK said was immature and it left Bret with all sorts of space to take the higher ground and establish a level of professionalism that KK missed.

Bret even had time to think about how he would respond to questions about KK's quote and he failed to put himself in a better position.

Dude, here's some fricking logic...

Bielema answered a question he was asked.

Asked.

He didn't start his presser off by commenting on KK's comments. He never does. Media scum ask him something, he answers honestly, you bitches melt.

rinse and repeat.

If just one time a Bielema comment was printed in context I'd simply be amazed.

It does appear that bert is heading toward making it past 11 or 12 years...I wonder if he has enough history to be a coordinator again?
