Arkansas is actually one of two west teams I don't mind losing to
They are no threat in recruiting, or a threat for the west title. Yes it hurts our conf record, but it's pretty much beat bama or bust as far as getting to Atlanta. We can beat bama and lose to ark and still get there
Alabama-recruiting, west race
Auburn- recruiting, west race
A&M- recruiting, program potential
Ole miss- somewhat rivals
Miss state- not too worried
Arkansas- not too worried

I don't need to get into too many details, but:
-ark has zero SEC titles, and zero NCs since any of these kids have been alive. LSU has 4 SEC titles and 2 NCs since 2000.
-LSUs 2016 class had more highly sought after prospects decide to play in BR than Bret will bring to Fayetteville his entire Arkansas tenure

Exhibit A: top classes don't end up in Fayetteville
Exhibit B: championships don't end up in Fayetteville
