The former South Carolina forward, who graduated last month, has signed a undrafted free agent deal with the Miami Heat, according to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson. Carrera will participate in the Heat’s NBA Summer League events next month.
Although Carrera wasn’t able to experience the NCAA Tournament during his tenure with the Gamecocks, he showed tremendous development under Frank Martin during his time in Columbia and grew into one of the team’s most important players. As a senior, he started 32 games, averaging 14.5 points and 7.7 rebounds in 27.8 minutes a contest. That was up from 7.1 points and 5.7 boards an outing in 2014-15.

Absolute disgrace that he didn't get drafted. He should have been a high second round pic. The Heat picked up a jewel.

Good player. I also thought Dorian Finney-Smith was going to get drafted.
