Man, why on earth do you assume that everything revolves around something in Texas? it doesn't. And adding A&M into your list of three there doesn't say much either. We used to play every year and we have always been out recruited, it worked out fine. I can't think of a coach in recent memory that had ties to DFW, and we were in a BCS bowl and ranked #3 at one point.

2010: won 10 games and went to the Sugar Bowl
2011: won 11, won Cotton and finished in top 5 (is that meaningless now?

Houston Nutt

won the division twice
went to a bowl 8 out of 10 years

Danny Ford

won the division once, in our third year in the league.

Now how exactly is that "failing"?

Good grief he's coached 4 games and didn't even have his starter yesterday. WTF were you expecting this season anyway?

Some of our armchair QB's were actually expecting 9 wins this season.

Never mind our glaring lack of talent at LB or depth at CB, S, WR or OL.

It's going to take more than four games to learn how to play ground and pound football from both an execution and talent stand point.

It took two seasons for us to get our shite together under Petrino but some of our fans can only remember the '10 and '11 seasons it seems.

he's a Briles fanboy, at least he's concealed that love affair without mentioning his name because he knows he's going to Texas and he's scared to death about it.

I agree with this. He blew a late 28-7 lead to a team that I don't even know what conference they play in.

So it's his fault you are lazy and ignorant?

Slight derailment but Briles to Texas would probably be the worst possible scenario for A&M.

Other than an out of nowhere hire, I honestly cannot see who else it would be.

I'm still stuck on the fact that the OP is calling our coach a moron but can't even spell his name right.

Briles not so much. Sumlin can outrecruit him. Chip Kelly would win a national title in Austin in two years. What scares me about Briles is more that tu would finally get an offensive identity, ANY identity, and one similar to ours no less. Many coaches could do this, and even Mike Sherman was able to use his NFL identity, especially as an offensive line guy, to nab a few good recruits against tu because they lacked a clear system and role for their offensive recruits. SEC smash mouth style, hurry up, Boise State trickery, etc. They've vomited all over themselves scheme wise for about 4 years they've missed out on a LOT of guys on the offensive side of the ball because other programs can actually sell them on a system. Once they get that back in tu, it will be good for them.

But on a serious note, the best assistant coach on our staff has been David Beaty. He was a high school coach in DFW for 13 years, and absolutely wrecked shop. With all the inroads the piggies are making to DFW, including the Jerry World game, I don't get why y'all would discount the importance of getting a guy with ties to the great State of Texas, and more specifically DFW. But we will see. The jury is still out on Bret, once game does not a train wreck make.

Maybe because you’re the idiot. Why don’t you let us all know how many college teams you have coached and your successes? Hell, why don’t you let us know your vast football knowledge and experience of any type?

That way we can judge you knowledge and experience against Bielema’s. Otherwise, shut the frick up and crawl back into your hole. Bielema shits more football knowledge every day they you know.

I dunno, i don't think miles is all that great of a coach. He is just a master recruiter. I'd take him over BB though if he learned how to pronounce the states.

Yes he just simply lucks his way into winning more than 80% of his games.

You shut your mouth. Brett is the only way you get back to Houston Nutt standards where you belong.
