Def not an alter. LSU graduate '02 and season ticket holder. I didn't post much over the years until a little more this year and I just like the UVA logo.
As for playing Bama in NOLA, it is the highest risk/reward scenario for an LSU fan, but I think this team is up to the challenge.
If Bama wins, it will be painful to know the season series is 1-1 and yall get the hardware.
But if LSU wins, it will be a win, and a season, to forever rub in the faces of Bama fans which I will enjoy to no end. "Got 13?" "Nope, but remember that time we beat your asses TWICE in the same season?!"
Besides, if we don't play Bama and end all doubt, I don't think my future heart will be able to stand the stress of arguing with your grandsons that I don't give a damn what historian Cecil Hurt III says, Bama did NOT win the NC for the 2011 season.

You seemed to fail to grasp the dialogue I wrote. It envisions a scenario in which the game has already been played and LSU has won the game. In this future world Bama would remain with 13 titles and therefore you would correctly say "Got 13?".
I can draw out a diagram and timeline if it will help clarify.

I will be ashamed if our fan base reacts that way. After all, we have agreed to the rules as they have been laid out and will have to respect them.
It would be a shame if we couldn't accept that fact and did something lame like put up that we won the championship anyways. I mean, what school would do such a thing?
