I was being sarcastic a bit. Both teams are pretty even (as I think our game demonstrated). And both are good teams. We don't know exactly how good. But both are good. The unfailing truth of the Rant is that LSU fans are largely moronic idiots who paint themselves into corners with ridiculous, circumlocutious arguing.

South Carolina is a largely unproven team who has lost to UGA and a horrible Tennessee team. They did win a huge game when we crapped the bed, so that's their signature win. But when you look closer, Mizzou doesn't have any signature wins either. So in reality, SCAR and Mizzou both are really unproven 11 games into the season.

Except Missouri has consistently dominated their horseshite opponents, while the Gaymclucks have consistently played down to the level of theirs.

But yes, other than that they're very similar...

A win is a win. No asterisks in FB (except on message boards).

Are you new to football? Nice transitive property though. I guess since Missouri beat UGA and we beat Missouri, we're going to Atlanta! frick YEAH! Bring it Auburn!

I want to hate Johnny Football, but he's so damn fun to watch.

Hopefully he isn't this upcoming week. I pick Mizzou to win, but I'm not as comfortable with that as I'd like to be.

You know everyone will be pulling for aTm, or won't care.

It should be a good game. If our offense brings their A game, I think Mizzou wins. The difference will be Mizzou's solid defense.

You never answered my earlier question... Other than a fluke win against Missouri, who have y'all beaten?

The truth is you've played a horseshite schedule and more often than not, down to the level of your competition. (See Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, etc., etc.)

I know it's a troll attempt but do we have to mention the Big12?

Other than a fluke Tennessee win over South Carolina, why are we even talking about Missouri?

Because of our shortcomings. Count your blessings.

How come Carolina can only compete for the East when UGA and Florida are down?

But even then can't beat a down Tennessee?

I've yet to see you post about Arkansas this weekend. That has to hurt a little bit, right? Knowing you can't bring up winless irrelevant Arkansas without getting laughed out of the room. Sucks.

Mizzou outscored its six SEC East opponents by 109 total points.

SC outscored its six SEC East opponents by just 12 points.

109 to 12.

Nothing transitive about that and not much way to spin it. One team was dominant in the division, the other one barely scraped by. It suggests that the 4th quarter and OT in the game between us was merely a massive fluke upset that would not be likely to happen again. Case closed.

What should really be discussed is SC's baby soft SEC West schedule. The two doormats, Arky and MSU. If SC plays *anyone* else from the West besides those two teams, SC is probably a 3 to 4 loss team and any talk of them challenging Mizzou for a trip to ATL is long, long gone.

Yeah allowing 17 points in the 4th quarter is fluke

You can call it a choke and I can't deny, but Shaw owns Missouri.

Be lucky you're even in the East race because of our own shortcomings and move on.

109 to 12 isn't luck. It's dominance over the division compared to the next best team in the East.

Again, the only reason you're even in the race for the East has nothing even to do with the 4th quarter against us. It's solely due to your baby soft West schedule of Arky and MSU. The two hopeless dregs. You've shown nothing at all to indicate you wouldn't lose at least one and probably two games from amongst Bama, Auburn, LSU, ATM and Ole Miss. Nothing. In which case you would not be a factor in the race for Atlanta at all even with the Shawshank fluke (and yes it was a fluke, that's why 17-0 fourth quarter runs don't happen hardly ever, because its flukish and odd). The only one whose schedule is suspect and whose SEC record is smoke and mirrors here is South Carolina, that's without question.

I moved from Aggieland to CoMo in August. This will be my first game to see at Faurot Field, and I've got a ton of family coming up from Houston to go to it. I can't wait.

BTHO Missouri!
