Ragland is probably going to be the best lb in the country this year. Took a few years, but man that light came on for him in his junior year, should only get better next year and be on par with mcclain and hightower. Gives me hope that the switch has flipped for foster too (as all practice reports indicate). If that's the case, we are going to be awesome at mlb this year

I guess I can see your point then. Trust me, I'm not him. If it makes you free better to think otherwise then who am I to stop you? All I ask is that you don't harass me when I post. You seem like a pretty good guy so let's show each other a little respect and class and maybe it will rub off on the rest of the rant.

I want to know what in the frick did Bama sell to Ragland to make him come back for his senior season!
I can tell you that Beckwith is done after this year. Miles screw up his Freshman year due to feeling he needed to play Welter who was turrible!!

Beckwith, if I had to choose

Since Beckwith was wasted playing behind Welter for half of last season, its fair to give Ragland the edge on his body of work. Its tight though, I'm sure we'll revisit this once or twice once the season gets here.

I believe you. Your writing styles are completely different.
Sorry I hijacked your thread.
You can see how we made the mistake though?
The fact that he's an Auburn fan with a penchant for falsely identifying with other teams for trolling purposes made it a fairly reasonable assumption.

I understand the misunderstanding. No hard feelings. Cheers.

Exactly. After last year, Ragland. After this year, Beckwith. You'll see. A dude that big shouldn't be able to run that fast. Period.

Huh? Donte ran a 10.3 in the 100m so I guarantee his 40 time is in the low 4.3 range when done electronically

Ragland due to experience and coaching, especially in a 3-4.
Coin toss in a 4-3, or at least, the type of 4-3 LSU was playing.
If LSU plays 4-3 over/3-4 this year, then I think we all can see how good Beckwith is. Appears Chavis wanted to make him a DE in the likes of Mingo and that was not a good fit. Beckwith size and skills on paper scream 3-4 type schemes over Chavis 4-3.
So, Ragland for now. Lets see what happens this year. Both are outstanding at what they do. Bama almost had both of them. Yikes.

Yeah, okay.
Don't worry about him, they wouldn't know what a MLB is anyway.

not sure about a 4-3, but Ragland is a beast in a 3-4 because he is great at absorbing and shedding blockers. he's got good closing speed and is a sure tackler too. but the big thing that stands out to me is how he is able to take on OL and hold his own. He's very similar to Donta Hightower in that regard. But last season he showed he's much better in coverage than Hightower was at bama.

Based on experience and production, I would go with Ragland.
Based on raw talent and potential, Beckwith probably has the nod. He's the biggest man I have ever seen run that fast.
