My bad, I thought we were comparing current contracts to Bryant's contract.
But I still don't think most teams average $75/ticket unless you are including tradition fund fees and all that crap.

I dont know what tickets cost at Bama, but my season tickets in Ann Arbor are 80$ a game and I am 3 rows from the top.

Tennessee's prices that they announced last week average about $55 per game. Two games at $97.50 and five games at $39.

Paul (Bear) Bryant today signed a 10-year contract as head football coach and athletic director at the University of Alabama, bringing to an end rumors and speculation that have been running the gossip gamut since midseason of 1956. No salary terms were revealed, but the consensus is that Bryant is to receive $17,500 yearly. "We have secured in our way of thinking the best football coach in the country," said Dr. Frank Rose, president-elect at Alabama.

SEC Coaches were still only making a couple of hundred grand as recently as 15 years ago. When LSU hired Saban for $1.4 million that was a huge paradigm shift as that was being given to a (at that time) non-NC winning coach.
