Good 'Ole boy network certainly helped out Bryant and Bryant Jr.

It's not so much how smart he was with money as it was how many smart businessmen wanted to involve Coach Bryant with their successful businesses.

He was smart with his money.

He also owns a huge catfish farm operation with the processing plant Harvest Select, farms in Alabama around Demopolis, a couple of farms in East Ms around Starkville, a farm and a hatchery in Inverness, Ms, farm in Hollandale, MS and a couple other farms including one or two in Arkansas I believe.

We have done business with them before.

It's a pretty good bank with lots of branches over Alabama. I have a friend who did some contract work with them and she talked with him a good bit. Said he runs a tight ship and built it largely on his own merits.
