There's a lot of piling on from State, USC, etc fans hoping that the NCAA crushes Ole Miss. The SEC office could have fought for us, but instead handed the them the lube for a full cavity search. Honest question, do you think the NCAA would let this happen to Bama, Auburn, etc? The answer is no. The NCAA wanted a school to make an example of and Ole Miss was the sacrificial lamb given up...because we cheat like everyone else and aren't as important. So if they set precedent by giving us fricking of epic proportions, what's to say they don't come after State, USC, etc? Over the five year butt probe, I'm sure they've gotten enough dirt on other programs to formally launch investigations, which they might just do. If you're not in the big 6, the SEC isn't going to do shite to help. It's in everyone's best interest if this goes away quickly and they leave SEC country. The players they're investigating us for also had offers from just about every other SEC school too. A big six school might have more help from the SEC, but that doesn't mean they're immune to an investigation like this and the rest of the country is foaming at the mouth for the SEC to go down in flames...Just some food for thought.
Cliff Notes: The NCAA going balls deep in an SEC school helps no one in the SEC.
Oh, and I'm not in denial. We cheated, got caught, and are about to pay the price for it which will most likely set us back a decade.

May 1979 : Auburn played on two-year postseason ban; two-year television ban. TV and post-season bans encompassed the 1979 and 1980 seasons.
August 1993: Auburn was placed on two-years' probation and will be banned from postseason play for the next two years. In addition, Auburn also received a one-year television ban, a seldom-used sanction in the 1990s.
August 1995: In its first-ever NCAA penalty for rules violations, Alabama is placed on probation for three years, banned from a bowl appearance, ordered to give up 26 scholarships over three years and forced to forfeit eight victories from 1993.
February 2002: Alabama football receives five years probation, including a two-year postseason ban, because of a recruiting scandal in which boosters were accused of paying money for prep players.
So, in conclusion, yes I think the NCAA would let it happen to Alabama and Auburn.

If you want to take the victim approach...

...you can't claim the "I'm taking my medicine like a man" approach at the same time.

your theory is laughable considering major programs have been hammered this century including one you mentioned and they got hit twice

Another idiotic OM fan in denial and blaming everyone except coaches, boosters and an administration who lied to you. But you go ahead and post that garbage.

The problem is that Ole Miss, it Hugh, doesn't know how to cheat.

I'm not sure everyone else encountered a NCCA case/investigation that spanned damn near a decade covering multiple sports teams, multiple coaches, multiple Athletic Directors including Academic Fraud in a NOA.
Those type cases may be there, but this OM stuff just seems unprecedented to me.

The bigger question is will Ole Miss decide to take another school down with them?
In the 90s, Auburn and Alabama got into a war using the NCAA as the tool. Bama had used this before (See 1970s and 50s probation), but for the first time we fought back with the NCAA and Bama has been on numerous probations since. I do not see Auburn or Alabama going nuclear on the other school in the future.

Well Auburn didn't sign 4 5*s out of the blue.
Like someone said Ole Miss didn't just break the speed limit they broke it doing 100 in 55 while drunk

not correct, Ole Miss was just plain stupid in their cheating. Also, your coach starts tweeting about "if anyone has info of cheating please send to NCAA" and provides email address. This was all brought on by your dumb coach.
