I don't doubt that the big10 is shite.
Comparatively, the insinuation that Oregons schedule is remotely close to the likes of LSU is completely asinine.
Alabama isn't the only team that I believe would beat y'all, that was just the example of an SEC team that I used. LSU would, as well as possibly Florida, Georgia, and USCe(pre-Lattimores injury). Thing is we have to beat each other up just to get in a position to beat y'all down.
As far as the state of yalls program is concerned, it's in the same condition that West Virginia found themselves in during the days of Rich Rodriguez. Puts up big numbers on lesser opponents that really don't play defense, will win what theyre suppose to(most of the time),will not win the big one.

Those WVU teams did pretty good against UGA and OU in the bowl game (s).

Well sure, just as Oregon did against Wisconsin last year.
Only difference between Rich Rod and chip Kelly, at this point, is Rodriguez won 2 BCS bowls and Kelly has won one.

I see no way that any SEC team outside of Alabama could beat us this year. I watched LSU play Florida, South Carolina, and A&M, and frankly I wasn't impressed by their offense. I really wasn't impressed with LSU's offense when y'all played A&M. I was stunned.
We'll agree to disagree. Last year's Oregon team was far, far worse (by attrition on defense and the lines) than the team we fielded in 2010. That team lost to the SEC champ by a fg. Don't give me that "Auburn didn't play well crap". Both offenses were very rusty from the month layoff, it affected both teams to the same extent.
The team we have now is better than the one that lost to Auburn by 3.

Oregon would probably smash us this season. I think UGA's size and skill on d up front would give them serious problems though.

I agree. I think Oregon v. Georgia, Scarolina, and Florida, and LSU would all be very entertaining games. I think Oregon would prevail.
Alabama? Lol. That's another story haha. Hopefully we find out.

Who knows...UGA seems like an enigma to me on defense. Oregon is using a couple 310 pound guards now instead of the 285 variety that got clowned by Auburn and LSU. I think we started Golpashin last year against LSU and he was probably 275. Grasu was getting his first collegiate start at Center as a redshirt frosh. Our tackle rotation is the best I've ever seen.
Likewise, Chip really loves him some TE. Lyerla and Koa Kai'i give us a couple of 250+ H back/TE combination. Honestly, from an athletic qoutient standpoint, the tackles and TEs are as good as it gets.

It'd be great if the Pac-12 and SEC could agree to a marquee classic to open the season. It won't happen with a bowl game, but if Slive and Scott could agree on an arrangement where we have a marquee season opening game alternate each year between the Rose Bowl and the Superdome...that'd be fun.

LSU and UT play a lot of PAC 12 teams. Unfortunately UT gets pasted much of the time.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if you see more big teams starting to play each other in the opening game when the playoff system starts. Every game will count even more, and less teams will be scheduling 2 or 3 powder puff games during the season.

You want to believe that, you're an Oregon fan.
The facts hold true that LSU has been tested, by the three ranked teams you've mentioned. All of which, most would believe, would still be in contention of winning the Pac12. After all, theyre all three ranked above any any team you'll play, with the exception of Oregon St., who just lost to a not very good Washington team.
The SEC game is won by defenses strangling you til you submit, as I'm sure you've seen by now. The pac12 game is based on gaudy offensive stats on subpar defenses. Though the Pac12 hasn't won a championship in quite some, while the SEC has won a few in a row following that formula, I'm sure you're not impressed. You were probably more impressed with putting 70 up on Colorado, one of the worse teams in the FBS, than anything else.
It is what it is.

Cecil - no Oregon fan is going to argue that the SEC isn't the best conference. We take nothing away from beating Colorado. However, you have to admit that Towson State put up a decent fight against LSU. If Oregon were to face LSU this year, it would go very different than the Cowboy Classic.

How about 2 games to open the year, 1 in Pasadena and 1 in Atlanta?
Of course UF couldn't be in the Pasedena game, we don't leave the southeast for ooc games, that's not our thing.

Sure.
I won't make make excuses
Just as one made a point about yalls 2010 team, know that LSU today, is a lot different than they were earlier in the season.
If you're just joining in...
The other duck was saying LSU hasn't been tested before, then another one said it wasn't impressive when they beat a top 10 USCe or the #16 aTm. I was saying it doesn't surprise me y'all aren't impressed by it, because y'all are impressed by gaudy offensive numbers. The teams one said we didn't look impressive against would all be top 4 teams in yalls league, and are better than any team y'all have played, and probably will play, in the regular season.

It's fair to say, this is an absolute guess you're making.
I don't know how good Oregon is yet, and I don't think you know either. We will know more in the coming weeks as they haven't played anyone remotely close to LSU 's caliber yet.

I want to see Bama v Notre Dame so bad. Bama would fricking murder them.

I was very impressed by your defense. Your offense looked anemic against aTm. I believe Oregon would have handled aTm in College Station. aTm gave up a ton of pts to LaTech, yet LSU struggled to score for the majority of the first half. That's what was stunning to me.
Last year you guys were much better than us. This year? I think we've gotten better on both sides of the ball while you guys have looked worse on offense. I think we win a competitive game by 10.
Then again, I will hold judgment till this weekend. It seemed like your offense may have turned the corner, that kid Hill is a stud.

ND is a really good team, but are they great? Stanford played them tough in South Bend. They looked great last week, but I don't think Oklahoma is that great of a team. Good? Yes. Great? No.
I would expect Oregon could do the same or more in Norman. Perhaps the best way to compare ND and Oregon is to see how they do against USC.

You know what these standings remind me of? 2007.
In the next two weekends, the BCS is gonna be turned upside down.
