You'll have the Georgia Bulldogs to thank after the Dawgs put the dagger thru the heart of the BCS at around 7:30 PM tomorrow night.

When two non-conference champions LSU/ALA play for a subjective championship then the whole freaking corrupt temple will come crashing down and a playoff system will be invented.

You are welcome.

What I still can't figure out is why LSU fans crack on it. The BCS has been really good to them.

Yes. I can't even bring myself to say the "BCS hates LSU!" Even if it's just to piss people off. BCS LOVES LSU, and always has!

Even after the Pac-10 apologists succeeded in having SOS removed as a stand alone factor, the BCS has still been more than kind to the SEC, ( maybe not Auburn, but hey, everybody hates Auburn). Everyone old enough to have watched college football prior to the '90s remembers the bowl tie-ins preventing the matchups that fans wanted to see. The Big-10/Pac-10 Rose Bowl cabal was aimed directly at avoiding the SEC.

Because we might possibly have more titles than we have now? Or at the very least have reached more national championship games than we have now?

If playoffs had been in place, LSU might have reached the championship game in 2005 & 2006, and maybe in 2010 as well.

Playoffs, please!

You know, if it would produce a plus-4 or better yet, a plus-8 playoff system...it would almost be worth it. Unfortunately, I believe neither is going to happen. What's more likely is that the Bulldogs get re-introduced to one of the real SEC powers with the expected ending...and, the BCS rocks along in it convoluted insanity.

People who constantly bitch about the BCS forget how much of a nightmare the bowl scenarios were pre-BCS.

Any college football fan wants a legitimate championship. That's why most everyone hates the BCS, people want a playoff, plain and simple. It's the only true way to determine a NON-mythical champion.

Truth. BCS has been good to the SEC in general.
