You cant bring alcohol into the box. You dont get searched so if you wanted to bring a flask in obviously it would be easy. You could probably bring a beer in to and then pour it in a cup once inside. But they dont let you bring drinks in.

We usually get there several hours before, tailgate, sneak a drink in, and go back out from time to time to refill. It's sort of a pain but our group is lucky enough to have an assigned pass so we set our tailgate up in the grassy area right next to our spot.

Arkansas threatens this every year it seems, we'll see how/if they enforce it. I have a couple friends going Friday, they're gonna treat the situation like its a normal game at Baum as far as their cooler prep goes and whatnot.

It would be a bummer if this comes to fruition, the vocal minority making headway again........

Pretty strict, my friends and I bring flasks but you definitely can't bring ice chests or such.

I think technically the way we get away with it is the border line between the campus and the city is drawn in a weird way which leaves right field outside of the campus borders and puts it in the city of Oxford.

I remember hearing it during my Freshman year all the way back in 2005. 8 years worth of rumors and nothing has happened yet. We'll see if they finally pull the trigger and ruin left field.

Just don't be an arsehole and roll a huge cooler in there. Just be smart. They cracked down on booze at football games years ago and i've never been to a game where i didn't imbibe. Just be smart and creative and don't draw attention to yourself.

I never knew I was being an arse hole by bringing a huge cooler in. I thought is was accepted. I won't be sitting in the hog pen ever again if I can't take in alcohol, attendance will probably drop by 1k or so on average unless we are playing someone really good.

It's even more bull shite that if you have the money for a box you can drink all you want at any razorback sporting event. Pretty fricked up double standard if you ask me.

Good thing they haven't done this at Dudy Noble yet. I usually just bring in a shoulder cooler and a cup or two and no one says a word.

Life sucks so bad in mississippi that the schools feel pity on us and let us drink.

We will see how hardcore the enforce it this weekend I guess. A lot of students will be mad and just say frick going to the game in spite of them doing this if it holds up.

It will effect the atmosphere for sure, people like me will still get some beverage in there but students will likely trend to staying away. No more drinking games and whatnot.......the worst part is it will definitely cut down on the eye candy out there, which on a nice day can be considerable

I can't make the series this weekend but I am definitely going to bring this thread back up to see how strict they actually are.

I wish the people who had planned the new box had given half of a shite about the students when they were planning that place.

More than any other program at LSU the students don't really have any sense of "ownership" of the baseball program, which sucks.

I'm from Arkansas but go to LSU, my friends on twitter have been blowing up my timeline about it.

Anymore questions?
