Y'all are making way bigger a deal of Yell than it actually is.
We do it weekly--it's not a film-worthy event.
The myth of shananigans has created a scenario that simply isn't so.
20 minutes to Yell, sing the Spirit, a brief fable;
then Fifteen for Team,
Farmers Fight,
Call it a Night.
That's it.

Wouldn't doubt it at all.
He goes frequently--and to most home games at Kyle.
And he's in SC tonight.

I'm paying the price in fatigued muscles at the moment, though Gotta give Mrs. T something to look at, though, right?

And definitely worth it to allow myself to veg out and watch some Fightin' Texas Aggie football, though!

Geez South Carolina, I don't think Tech ever had to be cleared away by cops, that's pretty impressive.

Here's another...

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A longstanding Aggie tradition is coming to the South Carolina State House.

The "yell" is a signature of Texas A&M, and is done before each home game, and even in opposing cities for away contests. "Garnet is not a whole lot different depending on how you shade it," said Bill Wood. Wood is the South Carolina Texas A&M club president, who organized the midnight yell practice. "It's just a fun event," said Wood. "You practice the yell, sing the alma mater, practice the fight song kiss your boyfriend or girlfriend and go back to home or a party or whatever," said Wood.

Many questioned to choice of location, but Wood said he wanted to do it off campus and there weren't many other options. "It's just a historic great place to do it. We can start a new rivalry and tradition here and anyone who wants to come watch a bunch of crazy aggies come on out," said Wood. "Most of the Gamecocks realize it is not an attempt to take over the State House but it is a great tradition for the University much like 2001 is a tradition, " said Jack Claypoole, Executive Director of My Carolina.

Chief Zackary Wise with the Bureau of Protective Services says they are aware of the event and are planning for the hundreds or thousands of fans that may show up. "We have adequate amount of officers to monitor the crowd size. We don't expect any safety concerns."

"Tonight they will have a chance to do some yell practice and we will have a chance to do some yell practice when 2001 starts at Williams-Brice," said Claypoole.

I've only been to two aggie yells when I wasn't a student, the chic fi la bowl and the cotton bowl. Those fables are pretty damn good

Blows my mind what a big deal their media is making of it!
I guess in all fairness, they haven't played us before, so all of our idiosyncrasies are new to em.

But it's too late to practice then, Mr. Claypoole
