Like I said before the team carried Les off the field last year, LSU should fire Joe Allegra first, then let the new AD make the decision.

Joe Allegra is the problem.

Matt's probably the biggest local media sunshine pumper. Pretty damning coming from him.

Don't you agree that Allegra should go first? If the new AD believes that Les should go, then so be it, but do you really want Joe fricking Allegra hiring the new coach.

I mean, never mind. Fire Les. Let Joe make the new hire.

After 1 game this year against what looks to be a pretty good Wisconsin team... played at Lambeau Field.

Good grief do they need to sell newspapers this bad? Not saying Les should or shouldn't stay but this after 1 freaking game? He ought to be linking an article last year about what a mistake LSU was making by keeping Les.

Your subject title conflicts with the story's headline and points the columnist is making in the story.

He stated that he wasn't calling for his dismissal, but that he didn't believe they would compete for a NC under Miles.

quote:

I have never viewed it as my role as a media member to call for a coach to be fired, and I won’t do it here. After all, coaches are people with families and those decisions should be made by the people hired to make them. I don’t know if Miles will make it through the season, past 2016 or to the end of his current contract, which expires in 2019.

What I am sure of is that as long as he is the coach, LSU won’t compete for another national title.

the fact that people predicted lsu to do so well this season after the shite storm around miles to end the season last year amused me greatly.

it's like people completely forgot Les was a few hours away from being fired. that one of the people's main complaints, the offense, remained the same. but lsu will somehow magically be lots better and contend for an SEC title. yea, ok.

Time for Les to go is certainly implied. Whether the columnist said it explicitly or not.

I understand LSU being unhappy with Miles, but they have overestimated their team as well and underestimated Wisconsin

Shouldn't Joe Allegra go too, or first?

Well, that's another misinformed opinion.

Actually, Miles would be gone already it Alleva was calling the shots. I don't defend Joe often, but he doesn't deserve any of the criticism associated with keeping Miles

Its not just 1 game bruh
You cant run the I formation 90% of your offensive plays in the year 2016

The only teams that works well against is AtM
