We had this thread like a week ago. LSU has the best starting five in the SEC and UCLA takes it nationally.

The one and only Pistol. No one like him before or
since.

ESPN called him the Greatest College Player EVER.

You can't say LSU is best SEC of all time when UK can put out better players arguably at every position. Some people act like Shaq and Jackson were an unstoppable force, when in fact they were stopped. UK would destroy people with a bench that has players as good as the "starters"

Every team needs a good enforcer.

Shaq has always been given too much credit for his college years. Rauf, just another streaky shooter, dime a dozen

I'm pretty sure that Oliver Miller dominated Shaq, and LSU never beat Arkansas when they had these guys.

No.

If this was a one on one competition or a pick up a game, Kareem Reid, because no one could guard "The Best Kept Secret". As far as I know, he is still playing pro in France after stints in various pro leagues including the NBA (never during the season) and the NBDL. He is nearing the age of 40 and can still ball.

No he didn't dominate. What they did was take Miller and put him on high post and let him pass and when Shaq backed away he shot. Dale Brown was stupid for keep playing man and assigning him to miller.

And there will be UK UCLA fans that argue that. Just because Press let him shoot 50/GM doesn't mean GOAT. Pistol is in convo yes.

Dale Brown was stupid or Nolan was smart in exploiting this?

According to the Dukies it couldn't have been the latter by their chant during the first time out of the 94 NC game called by Nolan "Stupid, Stupid, Stupid"...

Yeah it'd be tough to beat a team that could put Abdul-Jabbar at one post and Walton at the other.
