Tennessee is 15-1, not 14-1-1. Thanks for the post though. Much appreciated.

Fixed, thank you. The SEC Network has it wrong.

I saw that yesterday and tried to recall when, and how, Tennessee had a tie game this year.

Did Auburn really lose their series to Austin Peay? Surely that is a mistake too.

BigD,

Other than wins and losses, I haven't kept up with your Gators. What seems to be the issues y'all are fighting with thus far?

Your pitching is really young.

We were going to be young on the mound this year and you expect for the freshman to take some lumps, but we were counting on these guys.

We will see if they can turn it around, the season is young.

It is, but we were counting on a few to be our foundation and that hasn't happened.

As we all know, baseball is the cruelest son of a bitch of all sports. Just have to be hitting on all cylinders at the right time during the long season.

Yes, I am trying my dead level best not to be a whiny little bitch about every game and look at the big picture. But I keep cleaning my glasses off and the big picture still looks like shite.

I always try to be encouraging to fans when their teams hit a slump or are not playing well in general, so I need to listen to my own advice sometimes.

I did plenty of complaining up until now about our offense. I'm still grumbling, but I'm trying to internalize it as much as possible.

DVH is still tweaking the lineup, Stovall is coming back from injury, and we just need reps at the plate. I think by the time the dust settles, we will be ok at the plate. Our pitching will always keep us in games, but we need to get better on offense and I think (hope) that will happen.

Man I don't know where everyone is located, but it is a beautiful day here in Plano, Texas. A crisp 52 degrees and sunny with light clouds.

Got some errands to run and ribs on the smoker. Hope everyone is having a great Sunday.

On the one hand, I’m hoping A&M can maintain a shutout weekend and drive the team ERA even lower.

On the other hand, it’s baseball, and I just hope they don’t step on their dicks.

If anyone ever asks what a fickle mistress baseball can be, show them this:

Jarvis Evans first 10 pitches for UGA to start the game:
Base hit
Ball
Ball
Ball
Ball
Ball
Ball
Strike
Ball
Ball

Bases loaded with nobody out

And then a 1-2-3 double play.

And then a foul out.

12 total pitches thrown.

The absolute best when it happens in your favor, the absolute worst when it happens against you.

Evansville saved their ace and best bullpen arms for today. Will be interesting to see how that plays out. Those types of teams will sometimes roll the dice to try and win one game out of the three.

Austin Peay is leading the SEC with a 3-1 record and only a miracle finish by Auburn has kept them from being 4-0 in the conference. Governors are legit contenders this season….
