I think Hurtado's might even have a booth somewhere in Globe Life Park if you are interested in BBQ.

Brandon Hurtado, the owner, lives just a few houses down from me in Argyle. If you want real good BBQ though, come up to 407 BBQ off exit 76 on 35W.

No. Roof closed. Also not all concessions are open across entire stadium. Basically down the concourses that are on third base and first base lines.

I will say this is nothing like the first time I came here, fan base wise. There are tons of Arkansas fans, but not too many Michigan fans…there’s a decent amount of Oklahoma State fans…and about 500 or so Oregon State fans.

The first tourney here I came to was Arkansas, Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, Miss State, and Ole Miss. this place was hopping that year.

I think Arkansas/Texas Tech drew like 18k fans in 2021…last night was just over 13k.

Stop the presses! I rode past this place a few months ago and was wondering about it. I had not heard about it before.

Good huh?

Yeah, it delicious. It's definitely our go-to place. Give it a try at least one time. Lines can get long as well though.

Some things I’m watching today.

- Can State build some momentum and get another win vs a tough GA Southern team?

- Can Ole Miss get their shite together against High Point? Another win for High Point would do wonders for their program.

- Can Columbia pull off an upset win against Florida? They are a solid team and beat the shite out of Alabama last year if I remember correctly.

- Arkansas vs Oklahoma St should be a great matchup tonight.

That would be fun if for no other reason than it would piss OU off.

If you make your way further down 407, another great place to try is Marty B's in Bartonville. Really, really great atmosphere with great food as well.

They played their 1st game of the year yesterday and promptly gave up 10 runs in the top of the 1st. But after that, they gave us hell and it was 6-5 Columbia in the last 8 innings. They gave our pitchers some trouble.

Will do, I am in that area occasionally.

I am getting hungry with all this food talk.

Certainly one of the most jaw-dropping, dominant performances I've ever seen in person—and he did it against a top-10 team with a loaded offense. That combination of stuff & command—shades of Strasburg, Skenes. One of those nights you feel lucky to have a seat behind the plat

They’ve got some guys that can flat out hit a baseball. They’re a dangerous team when they get a good outing on the mound or the other side comes out flat. They’re pulling players from all over the country. I saw one of their coaches at a run of the mill PG event last summer. He came a long way for such a non descript event. They’re getting after it for an Ivy League school.

One guy hit 2, 2-run homers against us yesterday. Makes me feel a little better that they have some quality. They are plucky as hell and we have a true freshman going today and Cags tomorrow, who can be on the wild side. I wouldn't be surprised to drop one for sure.

Gotta give the girls some love.

Softball 2024 Records - Southeastern Conference

Alabama 13-0
Texas A&M 12-0
LSU 11-0
Missouri 13-1
South Carolina 11-1
Georgia 9-1
Florida 12-2
Ole Miss 10-2
Mississippi State 10-2
Kentucky 8-2
Auburn 5-1
Arkansas 10-3
Tennessee 5-3

And Tennessee is probably the best team in the conference.

Eff’ing kidding me?

Well…Guess I’ll watch it down in hotel restaurant/bar area then.

Why in the world would they have a private event and shut it down during this weekend? arse holes. Admittedly, I’m still drinking coffee and in my joggers. Daughter is still snoozing.
