How are you coming up with LSU #1?

UF has won 6 straight games and has a better record, SOS and RPI. I'm just curious how some folks come up with their lists.

LSU's remaining series in bold, Alabama's remaining schedule underlined, I don't see Bama winning the west.

I wasn't trying to offend Georgia. I think they are an NCAAT caliber team. However, 12th or 13th in the league is not out of the question.

On the softball side, Mississippi State just won back to back series against Alabama and Tennessee, 1-2 in the SEC and top 5 nationally. If the SEC Tournament started today, State wouldn't make it, but is expected to be one of 11 teams to make the NCAAT.

SEC is stacked in the diamond sports this year. I think the SEC deserves 13 bids, I think they get 11.

None of us really expect to, but Alabama sits at 12-6 right now. Even four more wins in conference will make for a nice resume entering post-season.

Truth. LSU and Florida are contending for the SEC Championship. Bama is about to get a wakeup call. Third place could go to Bama, State, Ole Miss, or South Carolina. State's schedule is the same as LSU's to end the season. At two games back, they could make a run, but they lose tiebreaker to LSU.

UF is staring 15-6 right in the face with a home series with terrible Mizzou. If they complete that sweep they'll be tough to catch (though not impossible).

They have to be the favorites at this point. Only thing is they still go to Bama, so if they lose that series then LSU or whoever may be able to gain some ground.

Alabama had a good team last year. I don't know their record on hand but I remember watching a few games. Not surprised at all that Bama is doing so well

I honestly see Alabama finishing 16-14. That's a 1-2 record in each series left on the conference schedule. Those young arms are wearing down.

Alabama is much better this year. I think we were 34-27 last year with 0-2 record in the Tallahassee regional. We are 28-12 (12-6) right now.

The top 3/4 really are so close I wouldn't have a problem putting any of them #1.
However, I thought about it a lot though and looking back to the past three weekends: LSU has won series against Ole Miss, Arky, and Miss State.
They're starting to show consistency, something we haven't seen much of this season.

What's so funny? I ranked Arkansas behind the three ranked teams they've lost series to, and ahead of the three ranked teams they've won series from. That includes Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and Alabama.

The fact you put Alabama sixth pretty much discredits your entire rankings
