Three Mississippi schools in the top ten in attendance is awesome!
Credit to Ron Polk who made baseball a big deal at State and the SEC and in the State of Mississippi. Yes Skip had great success at LSU later on but it was Polk who got the conference interested in making baseball a major sport starting in the late 70’s and then into the 80’s. Prior to then it was primarily dominated by the west coast schools and Texas and a few other schools in the MW, E etc.
At Ole Miss and USM it was an afterthought.
But Polk while at State worked to help them and the smaller colleges, junior colleges and high schools in Mississippi to be more committed to having good baseball programs.
And the fans bought in and continue to do so in the present day.

UK had 7K+ this past weekend, so we're not exactly doing shabby.

A&M will top 6k for the first time every or at least since the shrank the ballpark (such a dumb idea that was). We're about 2-3 years from catching up.
The waiting list for season tickets is over a decade right now. Really was not thie right decision. Hopefully, they get the new plans off the ground soon.

Surprising for OU.
OSU is at 4,881 coming in at #12

Niche sport.
Get a thesaurus. The use of this word in every baseball thread is getting old.

Years ago, I never would have guessed Tennessee would have baseball attendance like this
I remember when you could almost count the attendance by hand.

Niche sport. I like that the SEC has adopted it to be their niche though.
This doesn’t even make sense? It’s not lacrosse or swimming. It’s fricking baseball, americas past time. There was a time that pretty much every boy grew up playing it, and many still do.
