That's pretty good for us because our average last year was roughly 3500.

I get that they had NCAA tournament games going on, but it liked like they had about 50 people in the stands this weekend.

Softball was hosting Auburn around the same times too.

Ive never been to a mizzou baseball game in my whole life.
Instead, Ive been to a royals game about 10+ times, and cardinals game 100+.
frick college baseball.

We have probably one of the worst, if not the worst, team in the SEC and still top 15 in attendance.
New stadium and cool student drinking terraces help. Hopefully Bama will turn things around in the next few seasons.

I mean that's a pretty big deal IMO. Regardless, the recorded attendance was 3811 which is just a few hundred shy of their season average. given they had NCAAT games, I don't think it's that bad

You know you can do both. I go to several Astros & Aggie games a year.
And check this out. I've even been to Cubs, Sox, Tribe, Yank, Met, Os, Owls, Frog, Cougar, etc games too. Believe it or not, there is nothing that stops anyone from going to games whether it be college or pro.

A bunch of these schools lie about their attendance or report tickets sold rather than people who come. Since they sell a bunch of season tickets, they have a baseline that they won't drop below even if only 100 people show up. Carolina is actually honest about our baseball attendance despite lying through our teeth about our OOC football attendance.

I don't think anyone reports like you're talking about anymore. LSU used to release two numbers, I believe.

You make it sound like you have to pick one or the other

The streak aside and everything, college baseball is boring as shite.

Some of these schools are reporting like 6-8k for a late Feb Tuesday game against a no-name school. No damn way that's real. Hell, I watched an LSU weekend game and the outfield bleachers were nearly empty.

They're reporting paid attendance, which is what all events do in any sport

Not limited enough in the situation he is describing.

Whats crazy to think about is this:
While Mizzou is only averaging 731 fans per game, they are still #81 overall. There are almost 300 freaking schools with baseball programs, yes there are a lot of directional schools blah blah, but still to have a majority of the teams that can't scrounge together 1000 fans even including the visitors side is sad.
