they will defnitely force us into a matchup with texas more years than not. they already said last year that under no circumstance would they pair us with TCU for a 3rd year in a row.

Since our last CWS appearance:

2012 - TCU beat us in the CS Regional
2013 - Oregon State beat us in the Corvallis Regional
2014 - t.u. beat us in the Houston Regional
2015 - TCU beat us in the FW Super Regional
2016 - TCU beat us in the CS Super Regional

if texas doesnt suck shite again this year, were pretty much a lock to play each other.

We were in TCU's regional in 09 as well but never faced them.

TCU used to regularly get paired with tu before they joined the Big 12. We regularly got paired with Rice (05 regional, 07 super, and 08 super). That is just the nature of college baseball.

I'd argue that it's even far less than 50% of the time, with match up problems and shorter series anything can happen
