Disagree. As does the other heisman voters.

Putting up big numbers behind Stanford O-linemen > Putting up big numbers behind Alabama O-linemen, with threats like Julio and Trent to throw defenses off.

I don't think any BAMA fans are taking anything away from the athlete Bo Jackson was. It's the fact that some AU fans as well as other BAMA haters want to diminish the heisman now that a UA player has one. All we heard is how ingram did not have the stats to win it, when truth be told, statistically, he had stats as good or better than Bo Jackson. Who, imo, was VERY deserving of the award.

For a solid year we were told that Julio was overated and that Bama couldn't win with our Offensive Line. Now that we have beaten all of you, won the SEC, have a Heisman winner and are playing for the BCSNC Julio and the line are the reason why?? You rantarded, bitter little clowns are so transparent and pathetic that you are funny. Why can't you just give this kid some credit?

And not one of us have said anything to diminish Bo Jackson's incredible talent. Absolutely he deserved the Heisman trophy, and anyone who says otherwise sounds as pitiful as you do. I love Bo Jackson. But when you call Ingram a Heisman fluke and you don't acknowledge that his statistics mirror Bo's, then you expose yourself as hypocrites.

In the end, Mark Ingram, a great kid, is the Heisman Trophy winner. If that pisses you off, you are a sad person. GKY.

I've known for years that if/when Alabama ever had a player win the Heisman, it wouldn't be enough that he won. He would immediately be declared the BEST Heisman winner EVER, and that immediately the Bo-bashing would start. Bo could still push Ingram into the ground like a thumbtack, and you know it's true. Just be happy that you finally got a winner.

Damn, I always thought Vandy people were smart. You must be a "sidewalk alumni".

I was only 7 when bo won, so I don't remember the specifics, but did he have a Trent Richardson splitting carries with him?

Ingram certainly did when he got "injured" in the Auburn game.

I don't think Bo would do much pushing with that bum knee of his.

My mistake, but you know what I mean. And I think these hypothetical past man vs. present man scenarios are pretty dumb. They can't happen, they won't happen, all we have to go on are statistics. And statistics show that Ingram's all-purpose yardage mirrors that of Bo Jackson's in his 1985 Heisman season. Bo Jackson is THE quinnessential Heisman winner in my book, always has been. And if Ingram's all-purpose numbers are just as good/better than Jackson's, then I feel as if the man has earned his trophy.

Bo should have bought into the process. Bear & bo wouldve owned the early 80s. Bo won the heisman after bear retired right?

Ingram beat Bo by 78 yards and 1 Touchdown and sat out 3 full halfs (1.5 games). Therefore your argument came back around to make you look like the stupid Aubie that you are. Do you want to continue with this? If Ingram sucks, then the greatest player in your program's history must also suck, seeing as he has the numbers to prove it.

Oh yeah, and we still laugh at Auburn.

I also noticed that 4 of Bo's TDs came against SW Louisiana or somebody.

Not to mention Bo was dumb as a brick and had a speech impediment that Forest Gump would be jealous of.

Noticing the stats from earlier, while Ingram was impressive this year, the stats mentioned are his combined receiving and rushing stats, and combined rushing and receiving touchdowns, while the numbers for Bo are just his rushing stats, which also came at a time when Auburn was running the wishbone.
