Maybe true, but he is going to be a great NFL 3-4 LB though.

I thought keke would blow up this year. I assumed he would add 10-15 lbs this offseason but he had neck surgery and I dont think he was able to add much mass to his frame. He's certainly not having the year most thought he would. However, he projects as a 3-4 OLB not a DE and will likely run a 4.5 or 4.6 at the combine.

I would love to have him back next year though.

I still think that Mingo is a beast and am sure he will be a first round pick. I think his lack of production this year, compared to last, can partially be attributed to fact that the LSU defense, particularly the secondary, is not as strong as it was last year.

Damn......well lets tell the nfl not to worry about drafting him in the first round.

I think he'd do a lot better at lb as some in this thread have already said.

The weird thing about Mingo was he would've probably been able to run down Yeldon on that screen pass if he'd had a couple of more steps of real estate- he VERY nearly did, anyway.

That's right- I said Yeldon. By a D Lineman.

Seriously- Take a look at it; that dude was gaining pretty fast. Say what you will about Mingo- but don't try to outrun him....

Of course he is. He plays for LSU and not Alabama.

All Alabama players > LSU players.

If you knew more about football you would realize he'll be an outside linebacker playing in a 3-4 at the next level.

So one play at a tough angle makes him overrated?

Saturday against Alabama he had 0 tackles, 2 assists. He hasn't done anything in the other LSU games I've watched this season either. No way he's gonna be a top 10 pick.

3/4 LB and will be a stud. Your apparently are an idiot and don't understand the pro game. I guess Jesse Williams sucks to because he doesn't have many sacks / tackles? No, his job is to block shite up.

Him not having any tackles in the game underperforming all year makes him overrated.

Yeldon was also juking to make two other defenders miss. Mingo ran an almost straight diagonal line toward him.

What should he have done there? He had to dive since Yeldon was almost to the goal line.

Mingo is a pass rusher, didn't seem like he got any push all night. You're saying that his job was to get owned by Fluker all night? If so then he gets an A+.

He caught up to a running back from across the field and behind. I don't think that was the whiff. The whiff was Minter's bad angle and Loston being frozen.
