That's BS. Everybody knows that ref was an LSU fan and he was put there by the Russians to make sure LSU won the Nat'l Championship.

In the trash it goes for sure

I did give my program that a Clemson guy, though, so hopefully it ends up in a wall decoration in South Carolina somewhere.

Denial. It's always the toughest stage.

I would assume an LSU fan would be an expert on all things melt related, so I'll take your word for it.

Did you really?

Yep. Hung out with some really cool people, ate some great food, met a few Bama legends from the past, enjoyed watching one of college footballs top 10 games of all time. Didn't like the outcome, but the experience was good.

Doubt this seriously if you're on here two days later defending your own "quality of life" when no one said anything to the contrary.

Not defending. Simply stating that some of us, while enjoying the banter back and forth on a message board, do not define our lives by the outcomes of games played by others. We use sports simply as entertainment. Much like you may watch a movie and really enjoy it even though you wish it had a different ending.

In most games this year, the number of penalties has been heavily skewed towards Bama's opponents.

With an average of 44 yards-per-game, Alabama was #25 in fewest penalty yards/game in 2017.

Which was 7th in the SEC. We were dead last nationally in penalties against.

The refs didn't cost us the game. Our lack of a passing game and not being able to convert on 3rd down did.

All fan bases have some crazies who believe that type of nonsense. Most of the time those crazies are the vocal extreme minority (obvious exception being LSU whose fans truly believe conspiracy theories about Refs, Scheduling, NCAA, etc).

The fact that you were dead last in penalties against, but in the top 25 in fewest penalty yards tells me that officials throw flags for small things like false start or offsides. But not for drive-killers like holding or targeting.

So, there may actually be something to this Bama favoritism thing.

What? We were dead last in the penalties our opponents got. We were 7th in the SEC in penalties on us.

You are welcome to break down the film and find specific plays where the refs purposely made bad calls, but the purest stats say we were on the lower end of penalties helping us compared to the rest of the league and country.

You understand that IF, that is truly your outlook on bama football....good for you ! Also understand that this is NOT the case for the vast majority of your fan base...LOL

The SEC in general is pn the low side. Arent there like 5 or 6 teams below the 100 ranking?

And the difference being like 2 penalties a game between 1 and 14

Yea, the SEC refs clearly threw less flags than any other league across the board.

On 99 plays. It was Clemsons 3rd worst YPP performance of the year.

When you run 99 plays you are going to get yards.
