Jeremy Elder? 2008? Seriously?
Tyren Jones was an attempt by Saban to save face after Jonathan Taylor.
DJ Pettway? He helped Bama win the championship against Clemson.

Swing and a miss

LOL - Why don't you LSU fans just admit Miles whiffed on his evaluation of Williams.

Because that had nothing to do with it.

Every time Williams was brought up on the recruiting front the reason was nothing to do with the way he played, it was who he hung out with and "issues" he had. Stuff like that was hard for Williams to keep under wraps going to school on LSU's campus.

Who said that? Dude liked his weed.

Some are implying he only failed "a few" (meaning they think maybe 3 or so) tests. Sure, maybe if he was only ever tested 3 times or had someone else pee for him. Point is it's an issue for him, not just a fun activity. Hence the Randy Gregory comparisons getting thrown around.

We never had much of a problem with Williams otherwise.

Yeah, because Saban wouldn't suspend him for the weed, that's kind of the point the OP was trying to make. He ended up with what, a half game suspension against Kentucky for the gun charge his entire junior and senior seasons? Then since his time was over all this stuff comes out about how he has a serious drug problem.

It's not like this guy is some kind of saint

Many states and localities have laws governing the transportation of firearms. Travelers must be aware of these laws and comply with legal requirements in each jurisdiction. There is no uniform state transportation procedure for firearms. If in doubt, a traveler should carry firearms unloaded, locked in a case, and stored in an area (such as a trunk or attached toolbox) where they are inaccessible from a vehicle’s passenger compartment and not visible from outside the vehicle. Any ammunition should be stored in a separate locked container. Title 18 Part 1 Chapter 44 s926A

Under FOPA, notwithstanding any state or local law, a person is entitled to transport a firearm from any place where he or she may lawfully possess and carry such firearm to any other place where he or she may lawfully possess and carry it, if the firearm is unloaded and locked out of reach. In vehicles without a trunk, the unloaded firearm must be in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console. Ammunition that is either locked out of reach in the trunk or in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console is also covered.

Travelers should be aware that some state and local governments treat this federal provision as an “affirmative defense” that may only be raised after an arrest. All travelers in areas with restrictive laws would be well advised to have copies of any applicable firearm licenses or permits, as well as copies or printouts from the relevant jurisdictions’ official publications or websites documenting pertinent provisions of law (including FOPA itself) or reciprocity information. In the event of an unexpected or extended delay, travelers should make every effort not to handle any luggage containing firearms unnecessarily and to secure it in a location where they do not have ready access to it.

Why does posting a score of a game have to do with the premise of the thread?

The premise of the thread is quit whining. The hypocrisy of his board when 90% of them don't care about weed or smoke it and want it legalized is what is comical. They don't care unless it's Bama. Besides Bama abused Matthieu it's not like he was the difference LSU needed

he still got kicked off the team. No comment on the others I see. Meanwhile Jeremy Hill is on video blindsiding a guy in the back of the head and faced a team vote, so you should probably just shut the frick up on the topic of player discipline

About as dumb as Saban's saying not to punish players for breaking rules because it hurts the rest of the team that did nothing wrong.

Yea, LSU dropped the hammer after his 17th drug test failure.

It wasn't just the failed drug tests. It was the dealing that Les would not put up with. HB and JJ were dealing. EBR decided not to charge because there were no other drugs found at JJ's apartment.

This is the REC's(aka Crimson Tide football) world.. They're just allowing you to live in it... Accept it and move on. You'll be much happier when you come to grips with this fact...

In fairness to Bama, they were going to do something to Tim Williams on his 22nd failed test, but then he pulled out two Glocks from his socks...
