Historic rivalry and UT will be VERY improved this year.

They lost everyone on their offensive and defensive lines. That's where the game is won in the SEC. Alabama returns 3 starters on the OL and returns almost their entire 2-deep on the DL.

and we get bama at home.

How, exactly, is this an advantage? Bama is 2-1 in the last 3 in BR, and 3-1 in LA.

They are hoping they are due?

It's hard to believe that Tennessee will most likely be even worse this year.

Even though their current SOS ranks in the 90s, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bama drop 3 games this season, if not more.

This is 2014 we're discussing, right?

It's called historical precedent. 2011 UT and 2014 UT are similar in terms of talent and expectations. Plus, the game is in Knoxville this year instead of T-Town in 2011.

All I'm saying is that an emotional, hard fought TSIO can drain Bama of focus, regardless of the bye week between UT and LSU.

"it's called historical precedent."

Doesn't matter in this series. Bama leads all-time 48-23-5 and something like 25-8-3 in Louisiana.

If I'm not mistaken you lost Pagan Stinson and Hubbard right? depending on the formation, thats 3 starters on the DL you lost if you count Hubbard as DL since he usually is a rusher anyway.

I wouldn't be trying to downplay losing my best 2 OL and 3 out of 4 starters on the DL, but hey, maybe thats just me.

I wouldn't be that surprised either. A new QB is always a bit of a wildcard.

I do like that when talking about Alabama having a bad season, we are talking about them going 10-3. "Bad" is relative I guess, and Bama is graded on a different curve these days.

I'd be shocked if Bama finishes any better than 10-2

This is a good response.

I don't think Bama will lose 3, I do think they might lose 2. But it wouldn't surprise me if they lost 3, just like it wouldn't surprise me if they only lost 1.

Returned only 4 starters in 2009 on Offense, 2 OL and 2 WR's. Finished undefeated. Talent is not an issue with Bama. There was a chemistry and motivation problem last year involving some coaches and players. That has been resolved.

Between WVU, Florida, and Tennessee, I see at least two teams that could be much improved over last season.

Even though their current SOS ranks in the 90s, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bama drop 3 games this season, if not more.

Doesn't matter. Have plenty of Bama and Auburn friends and you guys can't live that one down.
