OU should fear this matchup. Derrick Henry made mincemeat out of them 2 years ago with just a few touches what do think he would do now with 30 plus? They are too small at LB and their DB's ran from him last time. We should be able to pound them.

Plus on D we are a lot more versatile with speed rushers and more options in the secondary. They want to try and pound us with Perine and Mixon? Good luck with that too.

Big Game Bob and the boys did some talking after the last time and there are players we have on the team that will remember it.

That's why Iowa will beat Michigan St and play Bama first round. Giving Bama a shot to at least get to Championship game where they will lose to OU 100-7..

Glad I'm not part of a Fanbase that lives vicariously through the hopes that another team loses. Even when Bama needed Ole Miss to lose to have a chance to make the SEC championship, I never pulled for their opponent. Why, because it had no bearing on the outcome, so why pull for someone that I have no interest in.

Roll Tide, that's all........

ot to take anything away from OSU -- they've held fast and the beatdown of Michigan was legitimate -- but their schedule is littered with mediocrity. Outside of UM, they didn't beat a single team of consequence. Bad timing in cross-divisional games hurt, and VT being down certainly didn't help, but that's just the luck of the draw.

I wasn't saying they should be top four, but I don't think anyone would legitimately argue they aren't a top four team. It just makes the Michigan State game that much worse. If they had performed similarly against Ann Arbor, I'd be the first to say they were hugely overrated all year. What they did to one of the best defenses in the country showed how good they could have been this year.

They'll probably end up in the Rose or Fiesta bowl, and I'm fine with that, but I'm still holding out hope from some chaos on Saturday.

This OU team is Nothing like the one you are talking about. They have one of the best LB and Dline groups in the nation.

I don't think Michigan St. has the offense or Clemson has the defense to beat the Tide. Hard to tell how good OK is. OK ST could not tackle its way out of a paper bag. TCU and Baylor were without starting QBs.

Ohio State is probably the biggest threat, followed by OU.

Florida is soon to be .250 against "ranked" opponents. Congrats on that sweet OT win over perennial 3-9 FAU though.

Oklahoma is 50th nationally against the run. For perspective, LSU is 22nd. When i watched your game against Baylor the first half they were running through OU like swiss cheese. We would score against OU, whether we could stop the Manziel like QB I'm not sure.

Buckeyes are getting a little too happy with that performance. Michigan has not been a good defense at all lately. I don't know what happened but they were getting mashed up and down the field by Minnesota and Indiana of all people. Michigan peaked early

I thought Ohio state would lose one of their last three games. Just too inconsistent and I didn't beleive the jt Barrett savior narrative that was being put out there by buckeye fans

Ohio state is good but something was wrong with that team and it reared its ugly head on the field and off.

Every style of play has its advantages and disadvantages. But, Nick Saban has done a tremendous job of assembling what is probably the most talented roster in college football. To that end, Alabama usually--though certainly not always--is able to defeat teams that have a tactical advantage over it.

Of the three other frontrunners for a playoff berth, I think Alabama best matches up with Michigan State, which plays a similar style of football to Alabama with less talented athletes. Oklahoma would be a bad matchup for Alabama, and probably one they would prefer to have in the semifinals if at all, so that they could at least prepare for a month beforehand. Clemson would be somewhere in-between.

Yeah, Bama would so lose to a clemson team that only managed to beat us by 5 points....their best team in 35 years beat our worst team in 15 years by a whopping 5 points.

Clem is smoke and mirrors and vastly overrated.

Bama would push their shite in using one of the 50 new assholes they'd rip 'em.

Have an up vote for the Palestinian reference!
S there anything more hilarious than watching a "youth" with a broken up cinder block throwing it against an Israeli tank and actually think he's winning?

Agree with the style of play and matchup advantages. Basically this thing is going to come down to OU vs Bama as it should be. I think OU could reasonably go the whole game with 8 in the box and simply outscore Bama on the other side of the ball. Then again I can see Bama getting a ton of pressure on Mayfield and forcing OU to lean on the run game in which case as talented as OUs RBs are our Oline is all freshman and I dont see OU winning the game that way.
