Anybody else torn on this game. I get the whole conference pride thing. I understand the playoff implications when it comes to the end of the year and strength of conference. But I would still love to see the Gump meltdown if they lose to another big 10 school in the first game of the season

Alabama is going to blow them out. Wiscy ain't what they used to was.

I'm not suggesting that I think Wisconsin will win. But who is everyone pulling for?
Have we had enough of bama's dominance and ready to see them fall on their face even if it is a big ten team. Or are we toting the conference line?

This scenario is preposterous. You might as well ask if you'd like to see Alabama lose to Chattanooga, its just as likely.

The answer is yes, btw.

Melvin Gordon, their secret weapon, is gone.

Without Gordon, Wiscy was shite.

Unless Wiscy has some other once in a generation player waiting in the wings, they will be shite this year.

Half the SEC would blow out Wiscy this year.

I won't forget last years matchup between LSU and Wisconson. I honestly thought the Badgers were going to win. Hilliard carried that LSU offense in the fourth.

Yes, I was going for Wisconson.

I will be rooting for Alabama and I think they will win by a lot. Alabama is the face of our conference and if they lose to a team who lost 59-0 last year, it will make a lot of voters rethink the strength of the conference and that perception will hurt all of us going forward. Roll Tide, Week 1. Most of the other weeks, they can go frick themselves.

Does Wisconsin have any sort of passing threat this year? If so then Bama should be on upset watch.

Wisconsin will run on anybody. But their QB play was pure garbage last year, and I expect Bama's secondary to be back to Saban form this season. If Bama doesn't have to worry about the pass then even as good as Wisconsin's RB's and OL are, Bama's run defense is good enough to contain them enough to outscore Wisconsin.

If QB play for Bama is even JPW level and the RB's stay healthy then I don't see Wisconsin being able to stop them very often.

I think Alabama should win this game. However, game 1 with a new QB and a tough opponent could be dicey. Wisconsin wont be easy. We Aubies know that.

Yeah, as much as it'd be nice to see Bama go down (or really, any conference rival), this is not the type game you want it to happen in. The SEC is 2 years removed from a title, and won't have the consensus #1 team to start the season.
We don't want to lose any unnecessary ground to other conferences, or we may end up 5th.
