Just seems right.

In the first SECCG in the Georgia Dome in 1994, #6 Florida defeated #3 Alabama with a 4th Q comeback 24-23.

The flagship school of the SEC West vs. the flagship school of the SEC East. In Atlanta, the series is tied 3-3 (4-4 overall).

For the 9th time, the most out of any matchup in an SECCG

Might as well write it in as the 13th game of the year every year.

It's becoming our traditional December game

What is it, 23 trips to the SECCG between the 2 schools?

I thought this was supposed to be LSU vs Tenn in 2016?

Sounds good. Didn't know new stadium was right next to it. Will new stadium have grass or ugly fake turf?

Turf. It's a retractable dome roof and will home home of the Falcons, the new Atlanta Soccer Club, the SEC Championship, the Chick fila Kickoff, and the College Football Playoff Championship in 2019

I think Bama opens the new stadium (at least in terms if college games) against FSU in the 2017 opener.

1992: Alabama 28, Florida 21
1993: Florida 28, Alabama 13
1994: Florida 24, Alabama 23
1996: Florida 45, Alabama 30
1999: Alabama 34, Florida 7
2008: Florida 31, Alabama 20
2009: Alabama 32, Florida 13
2015: Alabama 29, Florida 15

Looks like it's actually 3-3 in the dome and 4-4 overall.

Also it appears the teams are undefeated against other opponents in the game. Florida has two win over Arkansas and one over Auburn. Bama has wins over Georgia and Missouri.

You are correct sir. Forgot the first 2 weren't played in the dome.

Yeah, I liked that music too. I hate how ABC and ESPN have the same presentation now.

The coldest game I've ever attended. Still member Langham's pick 6 seal the game.

Ditto. I remember I was wearing a super puffy starter jacket with my arms reaching toward the sky lol

Just to paint a picture of the 1992 season...UF had a weaker team than the 1990-91 teams that Spurrier inherited with a strong defense. Spurrier didnt recruit too well his first year and in 1992 we had to play two true frosh at ROT & LOT and had a lot of inexperience...but Shane Matthews threw the ball around...we lost our first two SEC games badly to UT (sound familiar?) & Moo State...but then our frosh played better and UT imploded (sound familiar?) then it came down to the halloween night game with UGA a heavy favorite and we upset them to go to the first ever SECCG...Bama was a much better team with a very good defense and went on to win the NC wiping the floor with the Univ of New Jawsey @ Coral Gables (which I loved seeing). Just think...it could have been UGA instead in the first ever SECCG. UT went on to lose 3 SEC games.
